i got a 93 indy 600 it was running fine had it ot for a ride a couple times got home and shut it off went out later and tried to start it and wouldnt go pulled plugs and tere is no spark ive tried unplugging ignition switch no results unplugged kill switch on handle bars no spark tried a different cdi and still no spark ran good before i parked it earlier only thing i did after parking was tip it on its side about 3 ft to replace ski skags couldve that caused a issue that created a no spark issue its got me stumped when pulling it over headlamp flashes up so not thinking stator issue

Have you tried another coil? The stator could still be an issue there is a lighting coil for the lights that is separate from the pulse coil for ignition.

Disconnect the single black (black/white) wire from the CDl Module to the ignition kill circuit. Does it have a spark? If it does check the ignition switch, wire harness, throttle safety switches and kill switch for proper adjustment or short to ground. Repair or replace as necessary.

Unplug the hood wire to dash, tach etc. I've seen a bad tach (if it has one) cause this in the past on the older machines.

so yesterday i bought another cdi new plugs and a coil switched out lead coil and installed new cdi and still no spark is it possible that the stator would test good out of machine but when reinstalled it would test bad due to being grounded to engine as im at a loss now for this no spark issue tried everything but a new stator

One more question when I pulled stator out of machine and took it to repair shop to get another one they tested it and it tested good proper ohms so I put it back in the skedand now it tests bad I got another stator but before I commit to RIP it all apart again is there any way that something is causing it to ground out and get 0 ohms while in the sled got me baffled as to why it would have ohms when tested out of motor and now when reinstalled no ohms

I can't find any info on a 1993 Indy 600. Is it an XLT which was a 580 that year? Which wires are you looking at when you get 0 ohms?

Ok finally got it figured out i tested the stator again when it was cold and it ohmed at 0 so i pulled it out again took it in the house and when it warmed up it ohmed at 107 so its got a broken wire.I purchased another stator installed it reconnected everything and got spark but in the process i unplugged all the coils and tested them found 2 bad coils replaced them but would only run on 2 cylinders still took about 2 hrs to figure the issueout when i reconnected coil wires theres a wire that grounds to the motor which splits into 2 connections one male end one female .When i hooked up coil wires into this pug it grounded out one coil so it wouldnt spark so i disconnected the wire with 2 ends thats grounded to motor at a coil and plugged cdi directly into coil wires and it runs good now .So my next question is does anyone know how this coil system plugs together using the extra ground wire properly or will it hurt anything runnig the sled with out this ground connected .If i need that ground wire connected i would need some help figuring out how to connect it back into the coil wiring so it doesnt ground out a coil again.TIA now that i replaced all them parts and got it running proper again im going to sell it as its not the right machine for me i need to sell it or trade it for a fan coold sled to use on the lake for fishing
