I have the 155x2.5x16x2.86 pitch challenger extreme on my xp. The tips do measure a full 2.5" from the track to the tips of the paddles. a stock xp track measures about 2 5/16. I heard heard the xp track as a 2.3 some times and 2 1/4 some times. I guess it is a 2.3 (2 5/16).
I do wish I had got the 3.0 pitch with the full paddles on it. Last year when I put the turbo on my stock drivers ratcheted untill the track was way too tight. no sag at all. I put a set of avid drivers on and really wanted to put 7 tooth 3.0 drivers on and the 3.0 challenger extreme, but didn't feel like spending the extra money after I just got done spending a ch!t load of money with all the mods to the sled and all new klim gear last year.
So I put 2.86 pitch avid drivers on and kept the stock track. this year I got a good deal on a used 154 2.86 pitch challenger extreme in great shape so I got it and put a new timbersled skid in it. Only down fall is this track is ported more then the stock doo track. 3 of the square holes in the center instead of 2 like the stock doo track. I don't know that the porting is as bad as people make it out to be, but I probably wouldn't have ported it. I am thinking of getting a set of the port blockers/flaps that mm sports and felkers is selling to try it out.
I ported the track with 3 1" holes in the center on my 06 m7 (800 big bore, jaws twins, etc..) back when porting was the cool thing to do and didn't really notice any diffrence.
I am happy with the timbersled skid as it holds the front end down alot better then stock with the rear scisor relocate brackets to hold the front end down. I don't have to try to lean clear up over the bars like I did last year.
