Ha oh yeah I forgot about that. Yes let me know how that works, now that you pointed that guy out I wanna try one.
I have a tough time believing that is a 3600ma battery. But the reviews on radio oddity look stellar.

If the 10 watt has an air bag advisory, not sure what 25 watts would do. Some sites say this is only UHF. I have ordered only a UHF radio before, that is why i double check.

Yeah UHF is useless.
Can't see a 3800mah battery lasting that long on a 25W. Plus it has to run a fan.....

I would not bet money on the 10 watt making it all day either. When you hit that transmit button, its like hitting the button on a 20 volt drill. The quality is there though, I should read the F manual ...one day.

It's a UHF radio only.... don't do it. Run.

Thanks for the heads up. I actually already grabbed a couple of the UV-82XR's from Ray. Hoping to get out for 4 days next week to try them out.
Yeah the UV-82HP are awesome radios, can't go wrong with them.

I just like messing with radios..... Lol

Got the Radio, comes in at just over 100 dollars. Same goofy voice as the Zastone. Antenna is male end not female. Both radios are similar size and weight. Zastone you can tell is water resistant. Software is nice for the TYT. Testing to follow when I get time, I just wish I could have to of the same antennas to test with. Somebody come and bought all the radios I had so I do not have a baofeng left to compare them to... Well except for the digital baofeng.

I bought 4, 771 female antennas in by mistake a couple of years back. I got some adapters for them... hopefully the fellow still has them.

Alot of detachments are digitally encoded tone cod vs a static one. Sylvan Lake last year was one of the only ones I was able to creep on.

Consider the GT-3TP
It uses the same chipset at the UV-5RTP but is water resistant and the chassis is a little more rugged. But you can only uses the Sainsonic as the Nagoya ones don't fit as the flange is two wide.

If you do go with the UV-5RTP buy the Radiooddity knock off NA-771 anttenna as the Nagoya ones are counterfeits (blue lettering). Or buy the Nagoya anttenna from Boefeng Tech.

I am using the GT-3TP radios. Have been using them for a couple years now. Im pretty happy with the radios and cheaper than some others. Roughly $60-70 CDN for a radio and mic.
I have tested 3 antennas. The stock Sainsonic one that comes with the radio, the longer Sainsonic antenna, and the Nagoya NA-771 from Baofengtech. The NA-771 will fit the GT-3TP if you file a little plastic off the base circumference if the antenna.
The longer Sainsonic antenna was a little better than the stock Sainsonic antenna. And the NA-771 was a little better than the longer Sainsonic antenna. All in all the antenna that comes with the GT-3TP is pretty decent. The NA-771 is the best but not by much. From what I read the rubber duck antennas that come with the UV series suck.
