I doubt they are 15 watt, most likely 8 watt just like all the rest. I have ordered in some 10 watts from Zastone. They have not really done that great as far as performance goes.

Time will tell I guess.
How did you like the Zaztone?
Which model?

I have the A19, it is ok. Tried the Digital baofeng too, as well as most of the other baofengs, btech and pofungs. I swear those chinamen put any circuits they left over and plunk them in a radio. I have bought so many dam radios I am on their vip list.

Me to lol.
This 15W is supposed to be a digital.
I will buy one to test but not holding my breath.

Are you getting any noticable range increase outta the A19 vs the 8W anolog Boefengs?

What are you using for mics and anttennas?

I have tried almost every antenna out there, a cheap telescopic works good, kind of junky though, kenwood tk series works good, and the ut-108uv is amazing. Tried 6 or so mics, the clearest is the bridgecom ..it is a bit pricey. The A19 needs a mic in order to send and receive properly...to bad, maybe mine is just a dud, I have not really put it through its paces.. as it needed a mic for it to work properly, I guess I just gave up on it. If you get one I could send you a link what you need to program it. When you hit the transmit button the computer speaker make some strange noise...haha. so it puts out more power than the boafeng. I guess I will test it out more and get back to you on that. The digital baofeng, they do not make good enough software for it yet, and chirp will not work at all... neither will chirp work for some of the gt-5tp.... those are the radios you really want to get... if you are vip about one in 5 do not program with chirp.

Are you running that ut-108uv in your Avi pack? I was thinking about trying something like that either in the back orfigure out a way to externaly fasten Otto the bag.

Are those bridgecomm mic submersible?
The original Motorola is IP-67 rated, and not much more than that price wise.

I have taken alot of the Chinese mics apart and it is tough to tell the difference between a IP-54 or IP-56. Haven't found any Chinese IP-67 or IP-X7 mics that I am comfortable pulling the trigger on.

I just programed a few GT-5TP with chirp.
Just set it to UV-82HP as they have identical chipsets.

I prefer the UV-3TP, same wattage, 128 memory channels vs 25 and somewhat water resistant.

Have you tested out any of the Sainsonic anttennas? I have some of the 36cm ones on order.

How is the gt-5tp better.?

That's what I wanted but ended up with a set of uv88.
Boefeng makes a UV-88? Got a link?
I know they make a UV-888 but it's only a 2W.

GT-5TP is good but, I would go with either the UV-82HP or the UV-3TP as the have more programable memory.

I have ordered a ton of UV-3tp mark 2 and 3's....no version 4's. After the dm-5r I will not order the uv-3tp in the digital version. Yes most of the gt-5tp's do program with chirp, the ones that don't is the ones you want to. The gt-5tp will not switch between frequency mode and channel mode when in your back pack, one more thing not to go wrong. I have tried the sainsonic. I sold one used uv-82hp to a guy on here, after shipping and the extras I think it was for a dollar. No I have not tried the Motorola mic, the kenwood though. The bridgecom mic says water resistant or something like that.

This is the best antenna I have found so far and it is cheap. SMA-F J-NUODA FP10120. The 108 is a magnetic antenna a must for vehicals and sxs's

Just did a search on Ebay. All the listed 9+ are coming up 5watts. Not much out there yet in the reviews from the ham guys. All listings on ebay say they are waterproof. Just received two more GT3 mark 2's yesterday. Was the easiest way to get a new battery for my other gt3.

Haha, oh I know how to order off Alibaba. Lol

I was flipping through those pictures and I saw on the pic with the battery off it says 8w still.

Don't know if they are just using old picture or if they are doing some creative advertising.
