Just bought a new bike that was already setup and was talking to a builder to get a few more parts and he offered to trade my track setup for one he has. Mines a 2019 120ss with elka stage 5 and his is a 2016 137 with fox air shocks that he says has upgrade to make it same as a 19.

Trade worth it?, i haven't ridden mine yet but will be doing mountain riding with my sled buddies

I never had luck on the 120 SS... it was like riding a chainsaw compared to my friends on 129s... the 137 would probably go anywhere but wont be as fun on trails. Thats where I thought the 120SS shined was banking corners and making ruts!

there are years with weaker tunnels.... titanium work hardens and the older stuff may be prone to cracking... food for thought

yeah i feel like a 129 would be perfect, i wish i could find out what the differences were between the 16 and the 19 to see if its a decent trade or not

If it's a 2016 Yeti 137,those tunnels were the better ones. Thicker carbon fiber. And if he has stuff to upgrade the gears for the bigger belt, that good. 28mm vs 21mm. 17-18/19 tunnels had some strength issues when they changed manufacturing location. 16 bomber and compares to 2023. 137 beats 120 track. Float vs more stuck. Can also upgrade track.

120” has no place in mountain riding where I ride. 137 will be far better, and stuck way less. But also realize, technology has really advanced from that old yeti kit and the rest of the manufacturers.
Could be better to sell yours and get a newer 137”x 2 1/2” or a 129” x 3”.

It's a 16 yeti, I also read about the bad years of the yeti tunnel. I imagine 137 would do me better, just don't know enough that I wanted to check I'm not downgrading trading fromy 19 to a 16(with upgrades that I know nothing about lol)
