Just get a set of Elka shocks and all will be fixed. I got my friend to put stage 5's on his hardcore and he wishes that would have been his first mod!

I went with the 2704-229 it’s a duel rate 160/250lb. I can’t post a pic without it being turned sideways. But it doesn’t hit the canister with preload on soft. Not sure what it will do when compressed. Also Nextech is revalving my shock tomorrow.
I know this is older post

But the 229 spring, where was that from

Cat??

That's where I got mine.

On a related note, it appears the 2021 sleds have revised valving, spring rate, or both. At least on the mountain max.

I have a set of takeoff shocks from a mountain max on one of my 2020 hardcores, and my backyard riding shows significant improvement.

Here's a picture from the dealership before they pulled the front shock. It no longer collapses under the weight of the machine.

Somewhere around half, but I'm no suspension setup expert. It seems to work for me
Half is still loose on the top collar that holds the spring tight

That's about where it was with the stock spring

Ahh you're right. It's been a while. I went until it was just snug which was more like 2/3.

Anyone know the length of the front rear shock on a 2020..? And, if the length of a front rear shock off a twin rail from a couple years is the same, or will fit on the mono rail? Sent my shock out over 3 weeks ago to Nextech for revalve/spring upgrade, got a tracking number back on the 12th, looks like Canada post has either lost it or they got some issues that the call center has no answers too, was hoping to get out for a ride.. so if an older shock will work, lemme know.. wish I would have measured it before I sent it out fml

as far as I know the alpha shocks are the same as on the ascender twin rails. I believe I read that on SW.
