Saw the one at the last poker rally. Looked pretty good. I would probably buy one if I was buying a new quad.

Pro: Not a POlariS
Con: Axels won't last with that much power
Pro: Sounds like a quad instead of a sewing machine
Con: I'd be worried buying the first year of a totally new machine. Wait a year and let them iron out the kinks if there are any.
Pro: A ton of power. A totally unmatched machine.
Con: Getting to be a heavy machine at 747 lbs dry.....nevermind just looked at the 850 XP weight
Pro: lighter than an XP
Con: Might be a little much for an older guy like yourself to handle
Pro: Awesome price for it when it's about the same price as an 800 Renegade was last year.

it is excactly the same as the renegade except for two things.... the beadlocks and the shocks... and of course the plastics..... next year you will see the outty with the same fox poudium shocks... big drawback for so much power is the shocks it has... belief me. with the standard shocks its not bad but leans and dives like a whore! lol ... i would wait till next year or sell the shocks and buy the fox's for 1800 U.S....

i don't really agree on the axles braking any sooner... many bbk's out there running 900, 940, 909, 975 bbk kits with 80+ hp on the rear wheels and axles are holding up great.. some of these bikes have 3000+ km on them and no breakage.. what breaks axles is large heavy tires.

with out reading the thread. I read the review in the biased DirtWheels magazine. As they said `` The 500 in fast. the 800 is stupid fast. And the 1000 is for the select few pros and the few people who want to scare them self $h1tless``. I may have not quoted that to the T. But it sure sounds fun to me. Although I`m a different breed.

Knowing that more throttle is beyond me. That`s what turns me onto a machine, like a ```Hyper Bike`` of today monstrositys.

I just bought one yesterday. Havent rode it yet. The dealer i bought from has 400 miles on his with black momba tires. No axel issues yet. Gonna be a wicked quad for sure. Anyone want my 2009 renegade x. $8000 and its yours

Snorkled. 28" zillas on ss rims. 2500lb warn winch. Hmf slip on pipe. Fender extensions. Trailer hitch mount. 1100 miles. I believe it has warrenty left till spring 2012. That i can check on. The machine is in good shape and oil/air filter changed after every long weekend trip. I also have a plow mount and warn plow i might through in cheap

Well boys, today was demo day with Bow Cycle, here in calgary.. we were out in the south ghost area by wiperous Alberta... this was a corporate demo meaning these where brp's machines and not bow's...outtys are being sold as we speak but the rene's are not coming in till late october as far as we know.... i rode the 1000 outty and 1000 rene before the general public got there grubby mitts on them bikes for demo rides.. here is what i thing of the two new machines...

1. outty has great mud protection and lots of power..
2. the 1000 rene is way more snappier than the outty is.. cause brp clutches them a little different like the old machines.
3. the outty, in my opinion is a step backwards in the handling dept. by going away from the piggy back adjustable shocks like the 2010 Xxc outty had.it leans and dives like a whore! lol ...in my opinion and many others, not just me the shocks do not perform for the power the bike has, otherwise very nice machine..
4. if you need racks, you have them on the outty.....
5. if you need a quad with total performance in the power and handling dept, then the rene is for you...
6. i believe next year the outty will have the nice podium shocks that the rene has this year...
7. those podiums are better than the KYB shocks by a bit... they were developed by FOX and RICK CECCO ( 2x national gncc champion for can-am) he talks with us on can-am talk and stayed with us for the weekend when i was down at the 7 th round of the gncc in P.A. i have quite a bit of seat time on riding these fox shocks and there are a beauty, fosure!
8. handling on the rene ( when the shocks are set up correctly ) is super good... because they have set the upper a arms 1 1/2 inches forward of the lower ones and dropped the TTI rear arms about 2 inchs for better squat and handling....
9. and lastly the beadlocks only come on the rene, not the outty, which in my books is a negitive too... can't beat a beadlock wheel in my opinion.

Thanx for the update Mark, nice to hear it first hand so to speak by someone that knows what they speak of..... Some quick observations based on making the outlander a MUD bike. so some of your impresions may be for different perspectives than mine as we haved discussed many times previous . Talked to a local salesman that shall remain nameless (lol) ,where do they get these guys.....OHH wait i know, he used to sell appliances at home depot !! Any ways, he informed me the new 1000 outlander was lighter, had better shocks ,and that the XMR rad kit would bolt right on....

Back to the quick once over.....The price change,down in Canada/up in the USA is nice and long over due.. The new 1000 is quite a bit different than the older 800`s to say the least !! Looks a lot stouter made and wieghs alot more ,as a mudder i like this (747 lbs dry ). 25lbs less than my 850 xp . Keep in mind i did not ride the bike or see under the plastic... Power has never been an issue and i am sure the 1000 will have ample and should be rotax reliable... With this kinda power clutching should be looked at with bigger tires (30`s) i would think for optimum performance...
The mid section of the bike is quite wide ,something to get used to i guess... Like the styling ,incoperating a few ideas from the 850 xp such as racks & rear storage.....Would like to see a better skid plate stock still ;but much stouter down underneath than before none the less...Headlights are sweet as is the stock trailer hitch.
The stock shocks look like they come of a Jianshee 400 ,man they look like crap and feel soft sitting on the bike !! A set of HL springs may be enough to keep us mudders happy ,i hope, but if your the high speed GNCC (MARK) type you need new ones....
Looks like your doing LOTS of trimming of plastic if you want to run a 28 + size tire and the bike does sit a little low by the looks of it so a slight lift would be neeeded as well....The stock rims are sweet and light as well. This time , it has lots of clearence in the tie rod / tire area , nice!
Tough to see much underneath the plastic as there is lots on this bike . The rad is much bigger (best upgrade) ,however there is NO access to it front or back & sides, so it does need to be reloacated if your serious about mudding...

All in all very impressive, with a few changes pretty tough to get around this bike !!

oh yes! did i mention the gncc mark type? lol.... lmao... yes it would make a great mudder and just a spring kit would be enough for you guys in the mud... no need for fancy shocks but they are nice for all applications, just sayin.. anyways...

i think the 1000 outty is a wicked machine.. same as the rene just 1. no piggy shocks 2. no beadlock wheels and i for got to mention it comes this year with only one brake for all... no seperate front braking.. this again in my books only is a negitive.. once used to seperate braking, you don't rally want to go back.. so much safer for down hill decents and seperate braking is needed in high speed type riding. not a must but certinly really helps alot.

if you did the springs (cause remember the stock springs are rated for an average 170-180 lb rider.. if your heavier then you have springs that are too weak for your wieght and if you had the piggy adjustables, you would compinsate with your high/low speed adjusters and the shocks won't work really properly. so again, if you did different springs like you said then that would make that bike nice for mud and trail riding especially if you go 30's or even 28's.

i think bow is keeping the demo's for awhile cause they don't have to go anywhere. i will be getting the 1000 rene for a weekend to ride some more and set up the shocks that are set up so wrong...

i would also throw on a set of richocet skids, once they are released soon here.. awesome skids imo....
when you ride the 1000 without a winch the front end if always up in the air.. it has some serious balls! lol
