My kid had a little issue with Mr. Spruce tree last week in Vale and bent the steering post. What kind of job is that to change out and is there an upgrade for that?? Thanks..

its not toooo bad of a job. not like the old chassis sleds where the post goes under the motor. these ones are over. cc machines makes a chromoly upgrade stronger lighter and cheaper than stock for the skidoos. im not sure if he has developed one for the xp yet.

get a "post forward kit" while you're at it! it moves the upper steering post mount 3 inches towards the front of the sled without really affecting the original handlebar location. this maintains same riding position!

After this mod your bars will turn in a circle rather than that awkward arch (when bars are tilted back)... really helps for powder turns and sidehilling (countersteering)

just my two cents...

XP Post Forward Kit

The C3 Post Forward Kit relocates the upper steering post mount 3" towards the front of the sled. It is a similar approach to what Ski-Doo has done with the XRS sleds. This allows the riser to be tilted back toward the rider to remain inline with the steering post. The handlebars remain in approximately the same position as they were before installing our kit so the riding position is not changed. However, because the riser is now inline with the steering post, the handlebars turn in a circle rather than an arc. Before installing this mod, it is awkward to lean in one direction, but push on the bars in the opposite direction when countersteering. After installing this kit, you will notice powder turns and sidehilling are greatly improved.

We also offer a straight steering post modification to allow this kit to be used with the stock airbox. The original steering post can be retained if using our intake system or possibly with other aftermarket intake systems.

Please contact us when purchasing to discuss fitment.
