Just looking on opinions on which way to go. Looking at a done up turbo nitro with mtx 270 turbo with cr racing tunnel motor done with the low compression Pistons 4200 km or a newer m 8000 with lower km. Curious what everybody thinks. Thanks in advance

Really depends on your riding preference. I had an ac 1100 turbo with some goodies and had fun with it but went with a m8000 last season and am loving it. Find I can ride longer with the 2 stroke.

As others have said, they are both good for different things. If you like hills, powder, and not screwing around the Nytro is hands down better. The 2 strokes do handle well though. What do others in your group ride? If they prefer tight trees and jumping ridges you will be the odd man out with a Nytro. If they are more Alpine riders the 2 strokes can't come close.

Both are great choices, have fun with it.

Your not going to get much love for any Yamaha on here. But if you do go with the Nytro, word of advice. Since the tunnel has been replace, the sled DOES NOT have a legit serial number anymore. I know cause I just went thru this with my Nytro & an aftermarket tunnel. Need to get ahold of the Vin replacement guys here in Alberta. There is a chance of you getting stopped one day, RCMP will take the sled. Its illegal to stamp the tunnel with the old serial number. Just giving you a heads up is all, I know there is lots of people with tunnels & no serial number. Never had an issue ever.

Good point by Redturbo. Nytros are all about set up, make sure the one you are looking at is equipped the way you want. The mods are where the money is.
