Have a 05 Gmc dmax with 380k bought it with a injector issue bought 8 new Bosch injectors and still shows #7 as a issue and a hammer noise, verified correct injectors
whats the chances of having another bad injector in same spot. Also with the Tech 2 hooked up as soon as rpm goes up you cannot monitor injector rates.

Check wiring at that injector especially at the 90 degree bends
move the harness around and see if it changes

Would have a Injector code if it was connector to injector, which kills all 4 in that loop

That's adding fuel, did you replace the high side lines when you did injectors??

And you have programmed the flow rates with tech 2 into ecm and gpcm??

My 2005 LLY had the same issue this summer. The individual injector wire harness on #7 was pooched. Wire was broken internally. I could jiggle the wire and it would act normal. Went for a test spin and as soon a I hit a bump or 2 it would act up again.
Ended up changing #2 and #7 injector wire pigtails and all is good. Cheap fix.

No we never changed high side lines, only code that come up once was 7 misfire, I would have to see if he did program them,
he uses his tech 2 for when he does dmax conversions into surbrbans when he has to marry differnent modules.

Well could have crap in the new injectors now

The lines rot from the inside out, rust and crap

Diesel has lots of moisture in it, and them lines take a chit kicking

Was it a p0300 and p0307 code

Or p2143 kind of thing ( don't recall the actual code for injector group fault misfires)

P0202 injector control fault, and p2149 group fault if it's the wiring connectors

I don't think they come up
Like I said, 99% of the time if the balance rate shows its not a circuit fault but mechanical

So if flow rates are not programed right, could screw it up

Otherwise max spec is + or - 4 mm,

And 1-3-6 are all past what I would say is good, that being 3mm

I find after 3 it's too much for ecm-ficm to control and milage gets bad, washes cylinders out ect

Ok it could be over buddies head may have to take it into dealership, also it would not start at -20 without being plugged in also have a video of a cold startup and the noise but not sure how to post it.

Was injectors that was bad in it
