i'm curious as to why the border of the vent would be kinked like it is when the panel is still straight.
looks like they meant for the middle of the vent to be riveted (or whatever) to something as well?
either way, should be able to take that little bit of abuse no problems.
thanks for...
so, you all ready for the answer to my sleds problem? it's retardledly simple.
when i bought my sled it had k+n pods on it with prefilters on the pods. the side panel had been gutted as well.
i took the pods off and replaced them with the stock airbox. seeing as how the side panel airbox...
oh i guess i should have mentioned that i did try the solenoid. didn't change anything. replaced the check valve as well to no avail. decided i would rather bring it to the dealership and spend some $$$ and at least be able to ride it. so off it went.
they called today said the throttle...
crappy luck, but on the plus side, sounds like a good way to get a new engine every year or so on warranty. (if you can afford a new sled every couple of years that is)
i am assuming you mean the red part of the cap on the rave valves?
they aren't dials, just a cover for the various parts of the variable exhaust.
i haven't personally rode a etec yet, but i've rode with guys that have both a etec and 800r and they definitely prefer the etec.
and if fuel and oil efficency are a concern than etec hands down.
test run went as follows:
start sled, regular 2 pulls with full choke. idle for a few minutes till warm. idle out into the field like normal. get into throttle from a standstill and it performs like normal all the way till 6500 rpm and then it just sputters.
it still pulls the skis off the...
will try this for sure, i have heard that plugs aren't nesesarrily gapped properly from the manufacturer, any truth to that?
and no i have not gone thru the carbs yet, but i'm not too familiar with them either. could be a good learning experience i guess...
well got the clutch all back together now, and still no luck, won't rev out past 6500 or so. i have a few questions from past posts tho, and any new ideas/solutions welcome!
how do i know if the check valve is functioning properly?
so they need to move at exactly the same same time, or is...
looks like they made the base models a bit cheaper,
granted they won't have alot of gadgetry or good shocks, but 10,900 for a brand new current model 800 ptek with a 154?!
sounds like they read my suggestion about having a cheaper sled that makes it affordable to buy a new sled with out...
thanks for the pics, they hardly do any justice it seems.
i should have got some pictures of the 3 rd day of our trip, all nice and wind blown, darn near riding on the belly pan being the first guy across.
my buddy has 285/50 R20 terra grapplers on his half ton dodge and he really likes them. only has 15000km on them but they seem to be holding up well to his a, uhm, shall we say aggresive driving style;)
that sounds fishy to me as well...i figured if it was factory it ok. or maybe they figure your factory fog lights on your 2 wheel drive car are only for all the offroading that car was meant for.
