does anybody happen to have any pics of skinny ridge on owls head? its about the only thing i didn't take any pictures of. pretty sketchy the first time i crossed it, didn't know that it was THAT skinny, lol ,

Was that you on the lk. trying to get out that chute yesterday afternoon? we were on our way out and just about out of gas. Skinny ridge was pretty sketchy with the drifting yesterday morning. Our group were the first ones across and then dropped off the ridge to the left. Then went over to the lk. and climbed off to the right and out. Thought we better stay out of that chute with the conditions the way they were. Did you end up making it? AGREED......it was an awesome day!!

ya went over the top.......first poke lost boost......second pull....over the top.....had a slide at the very top when going down but out ran it!.....yes it was a great day!
I do have some pics of skinny - they just dont justify how narrow the trail is sometimes - have been there when there is no way to cross unless you do a little or alot of shoveling - heading out tomorow - will try to remember to get a few pics

thanks for the pics, they hardly do any justice it seems.
i should have got some pictures of the 3 rd day of our trip, all nice and wind blown, darn near riding on the belly pan being the first guy across.

I've always wondered what happens when two groups meet on the top of that ridge. Not much room to back track or pass!
Last time I went over it I had a dislocated shoulder and really dreaded that crossing!

My 12yr old daughter dropped a ski off the left side in pic #3 and leaned it up against one of the treess. She didn't like the concept of going off the other side. It was her 1st trip operating in the mt's and her third trip over Skinny in 2 days and it kinda shattered her confidence. All was good though. I'm sure Skinny Ridge has humbled a few sledders over the years.

Going there Thursday be there Friday on Skinny Ridge ! There is no snow there and all tracked up so everyone stay home be safe ! HAHAHAHA !!!

I heard the same. More rocks and stumps than snow. Not worth the fuel to get up there.

They should shut the area down then the rocks will quit growing ! Yeah I will never go there again ! HAHA
This weekend my buddy was up on Owls - took some of his daughters friends across skinny - One of them lost control and went off the right side - rider bailed - sled went down and somehow the rear rack hooked a tree - only damged was to the rear rack. Some others sledders came by and helped my friend Greg. He said he rode it down to the both of the ravine( where ever that is ) by the help other two other sledders holding onto the back of the sled. He eventually made it back up coming out into super bowl! Just wanted to say thanks for the help from the other sledders that helped my friend greg out - could have been alot worse!!

Saw those tracks there and was wondering where they went. Fortunate no damage and no one hurt.
