In reAlity it doesnt burn hotter but cleaner yes. Pine is a good option too lotsa heat clean burn once set. And a huge abundancy of it with the beetle around. By hotter i dont mean btu per cord. We have used a heat gun while camping it does burn hotter. But birch does last longer though too...

Yup we go to father inlaws lots for hay rides ect with his draft horses its a blast. Lotsa hot chocolate and bailys consumes peppermint schnapps , butter ripple schnapps and rum then come back to barn for massive pot of chile and fire. Good times had many stories too

Well i dont see the manufacturer of the machine selling fuel. They know the laws of what is available and mandated for fuel. So in no way can they void warranty when they know there is ethanol in the fuel. Ethanol burns cooler than gasoline acts as a gasline anti freeze and does aid the gasoline...
