Jorgy, I've seen the bypass threads briefly but don't quite understand how it works. What is the heat soak? My 13 Pro doesn't seem to lose temerature very quickly after shutting down?
I always thought that even 160F was too hot, until I started paying attention to operating temps on my truck...
Regular operating temp in constant powder is 121F. I've run mine to 175F, but that was with a broken scratcher and icy trails. A friend of mine new to snowmobiling ran his 15' to over 200F before the light came on.

Did you happen to give it throttle when it was idling poorly? In my experience a plugged fuel filter will starve the motor of fuel when on the throttle. Might be a simple way of confirming/eliminating the filter as the cause! Good luck!

The dealer called me and here's the verdict: belt deflection was wrong, and the alignment was a little off. Not sure why the alignment would be off since I've never played with motor mounts or anything...but at this point it doesn't matter. They only charged me .5 hr though, which is good...
I installed the retaining bolts for both clutches exactly as they came off...that I am sure of. I'll definitely have to adjust the deflection!

That was my first instinct as well (maybe a forgotten washer when cleaning it), especially after seeing belt marks on the sheaves. However, after reading about deflection, I'm wondering if it's just a simple issue? Thanks for your reply btw!

I've always used the NGK BPR9ES as recommended by the manual for my 2013 Pro RMK 800, but it appears as though I've run out. I do however still have a stock of NGK GR9A-EG plugs that are recommended for the MY 12 machines, and I have a couple of champion plugs (I believe they are the RN57YCC)...
