I ran the cat belt and have never had a problem with them I think they actually last longer then the oem ones.

Wow! I paid $72 for the Gates G-Force. Those prices are insane. Even the Gates C12 Carbon was only $125ish.

I dont see whats wrong with the polaris belt other than its price. I seem to get quite a few miles out of mine.

doesn't the belt to primary sheave clearance (deflection i think it is?) change when you change belt manufactures?

I somewhat remember reading something like that on a clutching topic

I can't seem to get the Polaris belts to last, even when my sled was stock, I seem to have really good luck with the Dayco XTX belts though. Usually only go through one belt a season now.

I did a little clutching work and a mtntk blowhole. Went from 3-400 miles of thrashing it to 800+

I don't think issues with the polaris belts are the topic. I personally have 3 that are just plain miled out. But you can't beat the price of the gates belts.

The specs on the polaris belts and the gates replacement are the same. The cat belt may need a shim because its a bit wider.

I've personally never got a Polaris belt to last, I seem to always have cords coming out of them right away and they seem to heat up really quick for me, where on the exact same setup the dayco belts last twice as long. I would like to try a gates belt however.
