What to do with a lemon vehicle?

In the Shuswap where I live diesel is way more expensive than regular gasoline.

    sure quiet around here lately...........

I actually like the sidewinder, seriously considered buying one. Contemplated long and hard about calling up the guy on here selling his used winder. I do admit some negative feelings towards ski doo, but that was because it was the only sled I ever owned that was pure junk...and doo warranty...

    Revelstoke riding area updates 2019/2020

Tejay, if I may ask, how is it living in Revelstoke? I planned to move to McBride because my wife wanted to go there, but she passed away in January. McBride was not my dream place, but I still do plan to move. My 3 possibilities are Salmon arm, Sicamous, and Revelstoke, so just wondering what...

Power to weight ratio or just power?

That one noted earlier also had a heavy bumper and skid plate added, plus full fuel...i bet also some other items to, it all adds up.

Power to weight ratio or just power?

I have the chaincase model with the 3 inch lug track, but no E start. No rear flap at all since it was torn off on a ride. The can is 9.5 lbs lighter than the stock suitcase, otherwise stock. It feels pretty light to me, no complaints. I am sure the 800 weighs less than the 850 to, not that I...

Power to weight ratio or just power?

I carry a 3 gallon can, and I don't ride with it all day. I drop it and go ride, on the way out now low on gas, i stop wherever I left it and dump it into the sled so I can make it back to the parking lot. I sure would not ride with it strapped to my sled while climbing and riding technical...

    850 khaos chatter/rattling at idle

So you didn't even score something good out of it. I once got a nice Ingersoll Rand 3/8" air ratchet someone left under the hood of my old Kenworth that was in the shop.

Heat, check engine lights, blown motor

Management needs to be good, for a dealership to be good. Take Forest Power Sports in Prince George, they long ago were great, now have so many terrible staff, they even lost KTM. KTM bikes sell themselves basically, but they screwed up so badly they lost the right to be a dealer. It is going to...

What to do with a lemon vehicle?

I have bought a lot of pickups over the years, even tried 4 diesels hoping that they would be better than the last one. I am done with diesels in pickup trucks, gas only from now on. A V8 gas engine will pull anything I need to pull. If I need more truck than that, will pull the big trailers...

Power to weight ratio or just power?

That is a really big guy, who did bring the kitchen sink along to. For me, the 400 pound sled all day long. Power is one thing, but flickability is more important to me. A can alone is about a 10 pound weight reduction, and cheap. On most sleds it is super easy to take 20 pounds off of them...

EXO sled single ski kit on Axys

I would like to go for a rip on one of those to try it out.

Heat, check engine lights, blown motor

The same guy now owns RTR in Kamloops and several other dealers. He has turned them all into pure hell holes. I used to frequent RTR, now I wouldn't walk in the door if they gave me a $1,000 and had Cameron Diaz there to give me a BJ.

    Spring Check deals?

I know Tom at the dealer in 100 Mile house is a good guy for anyone who lives in that area. Bought 3 motorbikes from him, and he is a doo dealer to. Little tiny shop right beside the hwy, called Performance something or other. Years ago RTR in kamloops was good, then Craig sold it, and it went...

    BRP in Cancun ?!!

With how expensive shipping is, would it really cost more. Try sending something from your town, to almost anywhere overseas, and be ready for sticker shock.

Ok let's talk 2 stroke oils

But in reality, oil is about the cheapest part of sledding already. Hotel rooms, restaurants, $70k truck to haul them, sleds are $20k, insurance, gas for the sled and truck, parts that break or wear out, riding gear, Inreach and subscription, add it all up, then compare to 2 stroke oil burned...
