Cat stopped using third party for their extended warranties. I specifically asked when I bought my sled because I got burned on some of the ‘exclusions’. Don’t know if that applies to additional warranty you can buy, but it is all factory on the original sale.
I sometimes take a set along if I know we are going to be riding in areas where it may be better to walk to help a stuck, than try to ride too close. Mine are in a bag and Since I have a CFR rack on my sled I can strap them on with one bungee.
No, then they will find another species to use as the reason to keep people out, probably the wolves since once the caribou are gone a major food source will disappear and the then their numbers will probably crash.
I doubt the Cat cord is just breaking, I have found that you have to pay attention to how hard it is to pull, if it seems to suddenly become more effort the cord has probably gotten hooked on something and will start wearing quickly. It also helps to check all the various things the Cord passes...
What’s the point of removing them, doesn’t save a lot of weight, helps with wear on trails or low snow, Cats don’t exactly have a lot of drag in the skid so nothing saved there.
i think Cat has always struggled with the finances to do everything at once, or to build a different chassis for the trail vs mountain segment. Perhaps with Texron, and the sales success of a the Alpha showing them that people will jump on innovation, the purse strings will open a bit wider so...
Well club has started grooming Lumberton, ski hill is shaping up nicely so I assume that the riding is as well. Want to get out this weekend, anyone riding? Intermediate rider, have all the gear and plenty of backcountry experience from years of touring.

Hmmm, converted my 2014 to a belt drive at 2000km, original gear definitely had some wear, but pretty minimal, wonder how Often oil was changed? Think AC recommended first change at 200km, then every 1000km?
Magnetic jacket closures have been mentioned as a bad idea with certain beacons. Not because of interference with searching so much, but because their on/off and mode switches are magnetically operated and can be triggered inadvertently. The other issue may be if the beacon has a magnetic...
I think Arctic Cat is the obvious manufacturers to do this. They have a new 800 so they aren’t going to want to throw that away to develop an 850 to compete with the others, Textron seems to be willing to fund out of the box solutions IE Alpha that give them a differentiation. If they could do...
