Was at Silver Sands on Sunday Dec 16. Snow was over waist deep and very soft. We didnt probe but figured 5-6 feet. close to 3 feet had fallen all week and made for some good riding. Still a little thin so we worried about stumps and such but didnt really hit anything. There was no carnage. Lol...
Anyone Know the conditions in the Chetwynd area. Hasler, Powder King etc. Its almost December, getting itchy to go for a ride. I know the ski hill is open.
My mechanic assured me it wont make a difference where the probe is. I have an MBRP trail can and we cut the probe mount off and moved it approximately 90 degrees around and welded it back on. I hope it wont make a difference, I will probably take my stock can out the first ride just in case the...
I have a 17 summit X 165 3" that I am selling. I have had no problems with mine, I got over 3400km on my 2nd belt and changed it only because I thought I should. Mine has run like a top and never missed a beat. It did have the antifreeze leak in the first year, but they replaced the water pump...
I was thinking the same thing. The black one was just too plain this year, but I thought the blue Sp was better looking than the X. But I wanted the better boards and shocks so I snowchecked the Blue X, with the idea to buy black side panels if I thought it was too blue.
Ya going west doesnt look good. We went around Intersection and ended up in the valley behind it. There was a fairly good pull to go over though. Thats why hero snow is a good idea. Thats as far as we got though. It takes a while to get there and fuel begins to run low around then. Lol.
Where you show it is illegal. If you go to the west there is a draw that goes up a drainage. That one is legal. As soon as you reach the top, you are outside of Kakwa park. You just have to make your way around the backside of intersection, which is legal and head south. Easier said than done.
We should get together, Ill come in from the Kakwa side and you start from Renshaw and we will meet in the middle. Lol We will have to do it in April as Kakwa closes on April 30th.
Ive got 3000km on my 2nd belt after a few clutch and gearing changes and it is the best machine I have rode so far. So I will be snowchecking another one.
Once you get around the backside of Intersection mountain, you are outside of Kakwa park and you can go anywhere. Just cant go too far east. That is Willmore. if you stay going south to Renshaw you are ok. But definately need lots of gas. Thats what turns us around all the time.
Its probably possible but it would be really hard. We sorta have tried but didnt get very far. I have not heard of any one doing it, although someone will probably say they have.
Ya i have one only its a 2013. It is an awesome little sled. No problems cold starting, just use the choke and usually starts 2-3 pulls. Have had it out in -30 and its the same.
I think your father -in -law would enjoy it. Its a fun little sled for trail riding, and is still capable in the...
From what I understand you can access it from the Walker creek road. I think in the winter you cant drive too far up the road, and then it is about an 80 km ride in to Kakwa lake. I know you will have to bring extra fuel in to make it back.
I dont know if mine are "originals" either but they are grey in color instead of orange. I have had them at least 10 years, (probably more like 12, I cant remember when I bought them) and they are just like new. Clean them up once in a while and lube them and they are good to go.
Ya mine ran perfect all winter. Over 2800 km and only blew one belt. Did some clutching and gearing and got it running really good.
As for fuel mileage it was the same as everyone is saying. A little more than my 800's and oil seemed a little more too. I had to put my extra fuel in a couple of...
