I don't know if i am too pumped about the new track... the lugs are hollow. how long would they last may be a issue. Sure, you lose 2.5 lbs (I think), but is it worth it !
Had the 4.7 in my 2002 quad cab 4x4. It was fine, actually pretty powerful, & as long as you do not plan to pull nothing heavier than 5 - 6000 lbs it will do fine in Alberta ( but stay away from the Grande Cache to Grande Prairie highway, the hills will kill that tranny pulling that much...
Had my plate on my old ZX mounted on the flap, high up, got in to Renshaw still there, 1st break, still there, lunch time... 2 bolts & the top 1/4 of the plate left. New rule, put it in the storage, tunnel bag, back pack anywhere bit on the sled. JMO. :)

I have a 06 3500 Mega Cab 4x4 diesel. I have a AFE cold air intake, boost fooler & have taken the factory rail pressure bypass out & put a blocker one in, other than that it is completely stock. Normal driving on the highway in the summer just by itself i can get about 23 MPG staying between 110...
Dave, that looks like he extended his oil tank vent hose. I did a similar job with mine only left it a little higher to keep the snow from freezing it off. The way it is from factory it drips on top of the DPM:beer:
I don't believe it's legal anywhere. If it was always a tandem axle it should of came with brakes on both axles. Maybe someone bent the original & cheaped out on a replacement.
If that does not solve it, look at your DESS key, is it clean, is the DESS Plug on the sled clean. If no luck & still end up with no results you may have to take the DPM in to get checked & / or get a new DESS Key. Good Luck!!
My 01 700 Doo has had the same belt on for 6 years, i pull it off every fall & wash it with dish soap & warm water, rinse & let dry on a rack. No problems to this date, belt is in great shape. I also have a factory spec ( no mods) 08 xp, went all last season with the same belt & it still looks...
