With the driver change you are gearing up slightly. The 2.6 will be easier to turn so it may be a wash and just get you more track speed and the same concern. Personally i would try it first, as with changes I like to make one at a time. If you are going thru the secondary to quick after the...
I would test the kill switch first and verify it is good if so i would temporary bypass the key, tether if it has one and the TSS and try it. If it still quits then i would try the stater testing
You may need to test this hot it sounds like a failed component in the stater may be possible. It is...
The TSS is a separate plug from the kill switch. After reading all this I would start with it. Remember this thing ran fine until you adjusted the idle. Adjusting the idle is fine to do i have done it lots with no issues. All your doing is opening the butterfly on the throttle body. Where the...
Does it still have an elevated idle after a hard pull? Mine will idle @2600 rpm for a few seconds 5-45 depending on the load before idle normalizes at 1750. Other than that it runs smooth and is crisp and clean. I geared mine down with a 18 tooth top gear and that also made the bottom end more...
I don't believe you can over kill or over react to this pandemic, good on you for choosing smart. I read a survey a couple week ago that 39% of the people won't buy Corona Beer due to the corona virus. This is what were dealing with, I wonder why it keeps spreading? 40% don't believe it and 40%...
Thanks for the reminder Fred, it is also a good idea to test them and make sure it's working. Last time out my buddies wasn't working luckily we did find out on a test and not in a time of need.
Not sure on the gauge issue, I believe Nextech (or something like that) does do repairs and upgrades. That model looks to have the mechanical reverse check the actuator on the diamond drive and make sure it is not sticking along with the reverse switch also on the DD.
Those connectors were famous for letting moisture in. Take the connector off get the water out and put on some dielectric grease. This should solve the issue. The sensor is not connected to the pump it is just a float style level switch.
For a hundred bucks ish you can put in a steel gear and change oil once a year. BDX has a light weight steel gear that is 1/2 of a pound heaver than the aluminium.
You are done with the trouble shooting and your right no circulation in the cooling system. Either a T-Stat or WP, still sucks but it needs fixing. I deal with Central sled in Wetaskawin and recommend them to everyone I know.
You have a mechanical issue T- stat or water pump that sled should never heat in the conditions we have on the trail down with scratcher's being used. Does it have warranty if so let AC deal with it easy fix?
Did you find any problems? On mine the power valves were way off. The air box was good, only a small gap (I mean very small) where the lower meets the upper I doubt it could have ever got anything in there but I sealed it for piece of mind. I have pulled my hood after every ride and the air box...
