You may want to take a look at the spider for wear also. If the pin and bushings were loose the weight most likely gouged the spider.

I use the Jaws trail can never had any issues over the years. Maybe a little louder than stock but not much. I also have an SLP and it is quiet but not near as much weight savings.

Arctic Cat hasn't used slotted pistons in the 800 since 2019 on North American models. Some European used the slotted piston not sure if they still do or not.

The Split Fire splitter is one of the best available. Not the cheapest but works great. Splits in both directions so it is fairly fast 10 seconds ish cycle time depending on the model.
