There are couple things to check first, when filling the coolant raise the front of the sled a foot or so to keep air out, some guys are over filling the bottle and it brings down the temp, some of the 2019 had a recall on the water pump as the impeller was loose on the shaft. There has been a...
You may want to check your engine mounts for play, for sure if its a high miler. The culprit is usually the mag side mount but could be all of them. Depending on the year the mounts have been changed up or at least the part number changed. As for the arm c/o it is straight forward, it is also a...
The spec for the 20 from Cat is 2 inches of sag at 25 lbs of pull center of the rail. The 19 spec was 20 lbs of pull. I have adjusted mine a couple times already as the track stretches for the first little while. You definitely can hear the clips while sidehilling when its loose. I used a small...
Actually its 28 ish hp if the benchmark is 165 which makes it more impressive yet. That being said I am thinking Niners Alpha may not be running completely stock. The extra power of the Doo will show up more in that race than it will in powder, the Alpha will narrow the gap in deep snow with a...
After reading a bit the ecm does a self check at 4500 rpm on the exhaust valves after start up. This is done only once and after each start. It is for the ECT and is not the same self check the EV do on start up. Just some fyi.
Its hard to explain its not really a bog rather it jumps from 4500 to 5500 . Just not a stable RPM range. I am going to test it a bit more this weekend. Below that rpm and above it is perfect, smooth and linear as it should be. I am still in break in mode but don't see it changing when that's...
I checked my PVC and found them out of adjustment both were to short and not the same. The proper adjustment is 36.5mm. The reason i checked them is my 20 had a bit of erratic throttle between 4500-5500. I didn't have time to test ride it to see if the issue is gone but either way the adjustment...
The zip tie may work just fine, another idea I had was to use a smooth headed pin and use a cotter pin or small hair pin. I have some plastic that will also work just have to machine it to size. I am still looking around as most likely the part i want is already been made i just have to find out...
I agree the hood is easy to take off and put on but it does need to be done right. I have not had any issues with moisture ingestion and really have not seen any fuel or oil anywhere on the intake. I do keep a spare seal for the intake and depending on miles rode change it every season or at the...
Why do you even need the top bolt it really doesn't appear to do much, maybe helps holds the strap from moving side to side on the top? It could be helping hold the limiter strap together taking some of the load off the lower bolt?
I am not sure how that will work out. Head gaskets have failed when using the E/G in a OAT application (large diesel engines, i don't have a lot of experience with automotive application) As far as the 10 year thing it probably is good for that but you will most likely need to check it after 4...
You will have no issues. The ethylene glycol just cant be mixed with the OAT or HOAT. It actually shouldn't be used in place of them either and vice versa.
The Jaws pipe on my Suzuki liked more RPM i ran 8450 and it worked good. The C-tec calls for the same range so maybe you could gain a little performance with more RPM. It did make a noticeable difference on the old engine.
You seem to be a couple hundred rpm low it doesn't seem like much but it all helps. I would try to get the rpm to 8300 ish before giving up on the clutch kit. The 200 rpm wont use the last 30% of your clutch but it may help. If you decide to part ways with the kit shoot me a pm.
it should baffle you it is a simple fact it does not flow good until it warms up its called viscosity. I never said it was bad and i have used it in the past just not my first choice. Your diff is designed for gear oil use and is filled to the appropriate level no issues.
Really its similar to a timing chain and gears in a automotive application. Why not just use 10w30 or a 5w20. Th ep gear oil is for exactly that.(Extreme pressure) The chain case does not see those pressures, the 75-90 or any gear oil is fairly thick at a cold temp and wont start to flow until...
I am thinking the 0725-978 is the latest and greatest and was changed after the parts books were made. If that is not the case it does not make any sense or we don't have all the facts yet.
