I’m in Revy now. Running ssi pipe mod, head and reeds. Haven’t been able to watch my gauges the last few days crazy deep. Suns coming out tomorrow and we’ll see what I’m running.

62-65kmh on my 2020 hardcore 165es with dragonweld clutching which only uses maybe 70% of both clutches. Revs 8000-8100rpm. 2 sleds in group with his clutching with same results on 2020 alphas. Can’t post pics without em being crooked. Will be installing stock clutching for next trip.

Gets there really fast too with on/off throttle. Ran good enough to out climb twin pipe 850 and a bunch of other sleds that day. Deep days make the sleds work really hard, not going to see 50 mph track speeds in 3’-4’ of powder.

Something sounds off in the video. With a head, y pipe, gearing and clutching this sled should easily be able to gain 8-10mph
1mph more then a stock 2020?

Sorry to hear your setup doesn’t work. The 20’s have all new midrange power and a totally different torque curve. They have all new clutching from factory to match the changes.

Sled sounds awesome to me. My sled hits over 50 mph in a climb all the time but that’s not my track speed. . I’m not going to get all cranked up over a few mph when guys start talking track speeds. One of the biggest farces out there is guys bragging about track speeds. So many variables from day to day riding, even one side of the mountain to the other. I don’t believe in embellishing track speeds. The proof is in the video. The sled rips.

The only change they made was a stiffer primary. 120/265 vs 120/240

You seem to be a couple hundred rpm low it doesn't seem like much but it all helps. I would try to get the rpm to 8300 ish before giving up on the clutch kit. The 200 rpm wont use the last 30% of your clutch but it may help. If you decide to part ways with the kit shoot me a pm.

2020 Alpha 165-Jaws y pipe, pipe and can. 5000ft, 200lb rider. Deep, 6ft no base snow. 68km/h 42mph 8300 rpm.
The Jaws pipe on my Suzuki liked more RPM i ran 8450 and it worked good. The C-tec calls for the same range so maybe you could gain a little performance with more RPM. It did make a noticeable difference on the old engine.

Do people really think you should achieve full shift-out in a climb? I think 1" from the top of the primary is going to indicate you have proper overall gearing. You need a hill with a smooth transition and no bumps where the track gets light and to turn out without track speed flare to do this test properly.

there’s a big difference between full shift and using 60 maybe 70% of a clutch.

44/40 full progressive helix, installed in a sled geared to 60mph at 1:1. Example 20/53 with a 50.30 constant for the drivers gives a 60mph 1:1.

5 WORKING angles = 12mph per angle to reach 60mph.

42mph turnout trackspeed??? The sled is approximately in the middle of the 4th angle on the helix.

Generally the last angle is never really used fully till OD.

Eh Caper,For the non clutching experts like myself what are you trying to say? You should reach full shift on a climb?

I like to have a bit extra top speed on my sled. Not getting to top speed going up Revy chutes, at least not on my sleds.

No Not exactly, other factors play into reaching full shiftout. Engine power, gearing, clutch setup.

Still not sure what ur saying? I know I wouldnt want to gear my sled for 42mph though. So reaching full shift on a pow climb isnt going to happen.
