Looking at the terrain data again, you would have to make a route on a GPS and be comfortable trusting it, as there are many slopes that could be carved down (assuming a certain skill level here), but also a few that you wouldn't want to make the mistake of trying. I guess it all comes down to...
Do you have the GPS coordinates of the sled? Looking on Google Earth, you should be able to take it right down to the Dore Creek trail, but you would have to take it slow. Here's a pic of the area...
The computer's internet explorer must have some weird settings because I'm sure I logged off. I noticed the same thing when I logged on. I had to log somebody else off. Wonder how many others have had the same thing happen? I was there on Jan 22. Surprised nobody has logged in from then...
The sad thing is that we have to look at non current models to even come close to the current model price in the states. This does not make sense with the dollar the way it is. I know that it is not the dealer's fault, and that it is BRP selling the units to the dealer way too high, it just sucks.
Here's my problem with Ski-doo (and to make it clear, I bought mine brand new from a local dealer). Our dollar has been floating around par for years now, and we are still getting soaked for the sleds and parts. The local dealers are almost (and I stress almost) as much of a victim as we are...
Quote from the article
"Since nitropropane creates more heat, it’s probably not a good idea to use it in an engine that will be subjected to long-duration, wide-open-throttle use."
I would hesitate in a sled motor....
Either the Barryvox Pulse or the Pieps DSP. At the AST1 course, we tested many beacons for range and ease of use. Nobody had a Barryvox, but there were tracker, tracker II, Ortovox S1, some old analog pieps, and the Pieps DSP. The only beacons to get signal at 65m no matter what orientation...
Always request United States Postal Service for shipping, they don't charge any usually. If the seller sends with UPS or FedEx, etc, these couriers seem to want extra to cross the border, no matter what you are buying.
I got the $28 puller from PA that is 40+ pieces and comes in red packaging. I was looking at the $20 puller, but for 8 bucks, figured I would go with the bigger one. It worked great on my 08. Sounds like I made the right choice in pullers. The washers bent right away, but that's it. I kept...
Here is a picture of the saddle (left) and switchbacks (center). The first time I went down the switchbacks was this year. We came back out through the saddle, so I'm not sure how the switchbacks would be to climb out through. Definitely a lot of quick vertical sections, but also a few...
Here is what I posted on another thread. Shipping is worth it if you are after about $150 or more worth of parts. You also have to be willing to wait a few days to receive the parts, although sometimes the wait for the dealer isn't much better.
Dealercostparts.com $110.99 is a couple of bucks cheaper than cyclepartsnation.com $118.49 (even though they are the same company?), and on the website it says you need to be a dealer, but I ordered parts from them last week, and no issues. Not sure the reasoning of the 2 sites as the same...
So my crankshaft is making a trip across the country to CVTech-AAB in Quebec, as they don't have any core's right now. They will rebuild mine and send it back. When I removed it, the magneto side bearing didn't have much for grease either. Should I have expected more than this?
The outer...
As long as you can wait a couple of days, this looks to be the best way to buy parts.... and no fuel/time spent going to the dealer just to be told that they don't have it in stock. A couple of big ticket items like belts or body panels, and it is huge savings. Seems like dealercostparts.com...
