Also bought XM yesterday, tested it against PRO and confirming that Poo pulls harder, better acceleration. Skido looks cooler. better finish, and very easy to start.
Riding together with my wife we both agreed that RMK better suits man, Summit better for female riders. It less aggressive, more...
Thanks DDrake, in addition to ES i need battery, wiring and harness.
Whole starter kit about 580CAN on skidoo webpage.
Yesterday, I look both sleds Summit and RMK on Ghost lake, just for a test ride.
Surprisingly for me, skidoo doesn't have power comparing to RMK.
Both sleds have approx the same...
I didn't check compression. Had no gauges, started sled it sounds good and runs well. Stock can is very big&quiet, guy said replacing can on aftermarket will dis-balance the sled. Can was made purposely heavy to counter-balance clutch from left side.
I have no idea, but seems as he is right...
That 700cc POlaris was a good option, 600cc Polaris is lighter more fun to drive and more reliable but little bit lack of power, 800cc Polaris could be a headache there are some problems with crank.
700cc is the best.
I would agree with someone who said that 2008 summit 800XP - the best beginner...
Exactly, I grow up north. I won't forget the day when I was riding a bicycle in -40. Grease got like a glue and wheels were stuck, couldn't even roll it, lol.
You can't take a normal breath, need take 3 breaths instead of 1, too much pain in lungs. You can't pee outside either.
Was riding in -38 and it was ok.
My experience - just needed a good helmet, preferably skidoo modular with balaclava underneath. I love when its cold.
Look at that picture below, -64 in Norilsk (Russia, eastern siberia), and people are on streets, going to work, driving cars, ice-fishing...
I don't think so, seems too complicated to me.
I would say air density doesn't change much with atmospheric pressure. It's a function of temp mainly.
Moisture will have more effect on air density then atmospheric pressure.
I am talking about atmospheric pressure on constant altitude.
Was at Ski-Doo dealer couple of days ago, brand new now are 14500(everything included).
I don't understand who will pay 14500 for a used sled if brand new cost the same.
Anyway good luck with your sale/
PS. Sled looks good, good luck with sale
You are right I can't beat him, neither I want to. Everything I want, is learn how to rebuild engine. Talked to CVT guys at Edmonton Show they say don't even try. Just wondering why?
Do I need any special knowledge before taking my engine apart? I am not a mechanic, but want to learn more about...
That is a good sled, love these chassis hope you will fix it.
Did you check the temperature sensor? Replace your temp sensor with another that actually measures temp, and calibrate it between melted and bowling water so you will see how accurate the measurements are.
I install the temp sensors...
Looking for XP 08 or 09 for my wife.
Have 5k at the moment, live in Calgary but may pick up somewhere from BC, etc
I dont rush, may wait til end of the season.
Another option Switchback or RMK between 2002-2005 (Edge chassis), willing to pay 2500
+1, not easy to weld. It has to be welded in oxygen-free camera. Oxygen ruins titanium when its being welded.
By the way I've heard 90% of world titanium production - in Russia. And prices went 300% compare to 2 years ago.
Good luck with that, just remember that there is one thing to remember -...
I wish I could take some lessons from him how to rebuild an engine. Have several sleds (some of them here, some back in Europe), most of them need to be rebuilt sooner or later.
Do you know if he give some sort of lessons?
