Canadian Household Debt at all-time high.

We can't buy a decent used vehicle in our area because of this. We see many truckloads of vehicles going south every day, have to wonder how much of the smaller products/toys are going south in enclosed units not visible to the public.

And then there were 3.... Mountain Caribou

This just goes with what we have been saying for years, Caribou are just the "species of convenience." When they're gone it'll be something else. The fight will continue.

How many changing plans for BC travel ?

If anybody is going to boycott specific businesses because of their political stand then you need to let them know you are doing it. They will never notice a few sales dropping off but if they get a bunch of negative comments on their facebook/social media pages they might take notice. Just be...

How many changing plans for BC travel ?

If you do shop local you are one of the rare ones. We are used to seeing the red and white plates roar in on Friday disgorging coolers and jerry cans, after a flurry of racing around and noise they leave on Sunday to repeat the next weekend.

How many changing plans for BC travel ?

The bright side of boycotting is if enough Albertans stay home maybe we can actually get into our campgrounds. ( and GO )

Environmentalists mourn loss of South Selkirk Caribou herd

Trish, we all appreciate what the you and the others in the BCSF are doing on our behalf. Ken and I are well aware of the hours spent preparing for those meetings and the feelings of futility afterwards. Don't hold your breath waiting for pats on the back or kudos from the majority of those you...

Environmentalists mourn loss of South Selkirk Caribou herd

They are not the last 3 in B.C. They are just the last in that area and the closures will not likely ever be lifted.

    Thinking about a big move.

Re: Do you like living in Sparwood? Thinking of moving the family to BC Another option in the area is Skookumchuck Pulp. They have a fairly high turnover right now because a lot of us are hitting the 25-30 year mark and are retiring. It was a good place to work but doesn't pay as much as the...

    How can I seal a leaking jerry-can?

If you take the time to read his original post he states that he CAN'T find one to buy, not that he is too cheap.

    Typical BC government! :(

Not surprising the original reason for investigating this was a complaint from non-motorized users. What stuns me is why they wouldn't be happy to make use of this themselves.

To the people who need to wreck it for the rest....

As much as I hate to suggest it, what you need to do as the responsible stewards of the area is to call in the enforcement body to charge them with riding on a plowed road. Not only will this show the idiots you are serious but will go a long way towards good will with the logging companies and...

Gas up the snowblower and snowmobile...................

Rained all night in Cranbrook. It's only -0.3 at 5700 ft. so don't hold out much hope for snow there either.

    ICBC loss is 935 million

I think one of the main reasons for this is that they are being overcharged for repairs. I can go to the glass shop and have my windshield replaced for less than the deductible if I pay myself. ICBC pays more than that over and above the deductible we pay. They need to review the fee structure...

    Kitty Cat Parts

Does anybody have a parts source for the older kitty cats? Recoil is dying and grandson isn't big enough to put on the 250 yet.

    Mobile home setup

If you are going to put in a tank without a field then the length of time for filling it will vary depending on how many people are using it. Running dishwasher/ washing machine/ showers etc all fill it faster. Using low flush toilets and peeing outside will help.
