This will be my 3rd year in a row going, and it is absolutely a family-friendly event! I think they are even putting on some kids activities this year, if i'm not mistaken.. if not, there is always lots of kidlets there.
The only problem is, I believe they are still fully booked and a few...
Im okay for going camping for a night or something without a fire, but i'm not that heavy of a drinker and I go camping primarily to sit around a fire lol its one of the best parts about camping IMO! Aside from dirt biking, of course.. but thats the day time part of it - as sad as that sounds, I...
Yup ohwell kinda saw it comin'. No may long campin for us this year I suppose, but that's all good plenty of weekends left in the summer where it won't be chitpacked, have better weather and no fire bans :)
It sucks but that's life - we can only blame mother nature really..it is pretty dry and...
Yup I have been keeping my eye on the weather and fire ban status each day. Just hoping for the best, if it dont work out well we will head out another weekend when the weather is better and fire bans are lifted lol. I have no intentions to go camping and not be able to have a fire to stay warm...
Actually where I was for May Long last year there WAS a fireban, as there usually is up around the lakes North East of Edmonton, and we never had one, but it was warm and we made do without one. Last year was the only year I didn't go to Nordegg - I just assumed they didn't have one last year...
Has there been firebans in the Rocky area the last few years? Cuz in the last several years I've been going to Nordegg for May Long weekends, there has never been firebans. Hopin' there won't be one in the Rocky area.. we probably wouldn't go otherwise, especially if the weather turns out to be...
Haha - I should have read your siggy. I would have been able to figure it out. They are beautiful - the Bay mare from that angle does resemble a Morgan. The last horse I had was a very handsome liver chestnut Morgan gelding. Very nice horse, I had several others prior to him, a couple Arabians...
I think I like the idea of a Shooter Shootout at the Jamboree... :) Doesnt have to be jello shooters in particular, but any kind of shooter concoction you can come up with. Okay done. Who wants to be the judge!?!??
not sure what flavors of jello would go good with these.... Hmmm. I might have to try and find the PB&J too lol.
My theme will be 'Kids Breakfast Flavoured Jello Shooters' LOL
Yup...
and believe me, its name LOOPY speaks the honest truth.. I got the worst hangover off this stuff when I was in Florida a little while ago. I tried my best to bring this stuff back but only high end bars carried the stuff at the time. I was only able to snag the DUDE (mountain dew)...
Yeah its too bad my mountain dew flavoured vodka I brought up from the states isn't going to last for jello shooter mix by then. They may finally get it in the liquor stores here by that time but if not I will go buy some from the brewhouse lol, that and froot loop vodka. Lovin the Three Olives...
Hey, I can't quite remember, but is the little blue bridge, and that big open area right by it, before or after the train tracks? I can't friggin remember lol. I'm trying to write out directions
K thanks. Do you also ever have problems out there cutting down dead wood for firewood? I stocked up on a truckload in Nordegg that my Dad had just chopped down on the weekend but i'm afraid that would last a night at best. lol
Haha, sounds like we probably can forget about venturing that way. Atleast I know there's more space available across that bridge. We didn't drive down that way, I'm assuming this hill you speak of is where you can get the nearest cell phone reception if needed? lol.
Haha thanks. We will get what we can get I suppose. Our plan is just to go as far down the road as possible when we pull in, most people probably drive in and take the close spots first ( I would assume ). We didn't get the chance to drive across the little blue bridge, but it looks like there...
