    Sorry to derail the thread one old, getting into it is a bit of an attitude adjust more than anything. Best advise I can give is ride with another bike. Where you can go and type of riding changes drastically with sleds vs bikes. If your wife can ride a bike I think she will enjoy it, way easier...
