Just curious who else has a drone here? What kind? How are you using it? Do you use it sledding, if so how/what do you do?

Ive got a DJI Spark. Been practicing with it and finally feel comfortable enough to try bring it out to revy with us. Should make for some good shots!!

Have a Mavic pro ... Have used fir work over water but havent taken it riding yet. Pretty amazing shots. Tons of capability. Really need several batteries on hand unless you know exactly how to frame your shots.

We have a dji phantom it seems to work well, like said battery’s and fly time is the answer. It’s amazing what they can do if you know how to use them. We use ours for right of way inspections and water crossings on pipelines

Just ordered the Ryze Tello from best buy for 150$ would like to get the hang of flying a cheap one before I roll out the bigger bills to damage an expensive one. Has decent reviews and a 5m camera. Would hate to drop 1200 bucks on a really nice one and fawk it up first run out

opinions are like azzholes, everyone has one. Can you give pros and cons of each please.

So demanding this early.

Well only flew each one 3 times.

Spark.
Pro. Small, easy to pack , cheaper price, so if you crash not as painful. fly of phone
Con. Not good in wind. Camera is small and used for flight and pictures.
Can’t move camera separate have to turn drone to get different shots.

Inspire 2
Pro. Good in wind. Camera turns separate from drone. Can have separate controller for camera. Need 2 people then. Can change camera’s. Has zenmuse x4s on it now.
Fly with tablet. Easier to see. Fly 7 km away.
Con. Very big to pack. Expensive. Best to have a landing surface because rocks or dust on camera. Heavy.

Mavic 2 is out now has some features I heard are good.

As for prices check google they vary a lot.

Last thing watch local areas and laws for no fly zones. Will need license and government documents done to fly within airspace of an airport. Have to call Nav Canada for permission.

Hope that helps.

Spark lasted 16 minutes flight time
Inspire 2 23 minutes flight time
