Yeah, fuel gauge is grossly inaccurate. On deep days....I usually start to get nervous around 70-80km. On days where snow is more setup it is super good on gas and can easily do 120km to a tank
Are riding tuesday and wednesday? I'm in Vancouver and thinking about going out there to ride but realistically won't be there until wednesday afternoon
Well, looks like my plan just got accelerated. 3 of us are coming tomorrow night, riding Tuesday and Wednesday.
would be nice if we can hook up with some folks who are familiar with the area
Might try to head up to sicamous to ride from the 26-29. So far, I'm by myself so need to hook up with the locals.

PM me your contact if your riding on those days and don't mind another person tagging along.
Have a day off tomorrow and would love to ride with...
Even brohm still needs more snow. Brohm had lots of traffic in past weeks from all the keeners and pretty much hard pack now. If you just want to get out to break-in your sled, yeah brohm is about your only option right now on the sea-to-sky.
Absolutely agree with you on this one. Tried out motofist gear for 1 season and went back to Arcteryx and North Face gore-tex stuff. Aside from lightweight and better styling (IMO), I just found that they kept me dry better than sled specific gear.
Only downside is they tend to be less durable...
To be perfectly accurate................
If you want P-Tek motor
2013 Summit Sport (XP chasis and S-36 front-end)
For ETEC
2012 Summit X or SP
or
2013 Freeride
For older years I believe 2010 Summit X was regarded as the best iteration.
Tips for making sled movie clip
Nothing against POV but a full-on 6 min POV clip is a bit much IMO. It's ok for personal consumption but really does not make me stoke and wanna go out to ride.
Probably don't have to worry too much about increased traffic unless they build a bridge from the mainland to the island. The cost to go across these days (extra $ when pulling a trailer or overheight for those using decks) is enough to prevent most folks in the lower mainland to go over.
I went with SLP and although I have not actually cooked any raw meat in the muffpot, for warming things up you just need 3-4 big pulls where you're WOT.
I believe LBZ is referring to the pre-filter screen kit to cover the holes in the nose. Without it, snow will get in and your clutch will be wet. I noticed it when I was swapping my belt that the foam on the panel is soaked.
Mine's at 750km. Belt started to fray at 700km. Not sure whether it was my fault of not letting the clutch/belt cool down when we were riding in waist deep snow this past thursday.
Coastal snow pack is pretty stable. Avy danger was considerable for the alpine and tree line yesterday and as long as you use common sense, you can have an amazing time.
Ok, here's a little problem.
My gauges went out a couple times this past sunday. Shut it down and restarted the motor and it came back. Sled still pull hard like always. Just had my 10hrs service done with about 500km on the sled. Do you guys think there might be a loose connection somewhere?
