Never did get to ride Revy. Ended up riding Quartz on Sunday though. Trail in was ok. Conditions up top were great as there was about 2 feet of powder in most places. For April it was stellar. Trail out was melted by the time we left so the last 3km was mud, gravel, and rocks.
I had an issue with my 14 xm on Saturday monring in Revy in which the sled would only run on one cylinder. No check engine lights or codes displayed. Luckily it was on the way up and I was only about half a mile from the truck. We changed the plugs and it made no difference. Though possibly a...
Maybe they sucked out the oil with a vacuum hose instead of pulling the drain? I know that what they do on the XM chaincases instead of pulling the cover off. Just saying.
I have had my sled in there for service and didn't have a problem, although I did not mark anything to make sure they did...
It is not flat at all compared to some parts of Saskatchewan. The Wildcat hills are north of town and the Pasqua hills are east of town so this is a fair bit of elevation change. Its not like riding in the mountains by any means. I would probably be similar riding in Whitecourt for the most...
I am originally from Hudson Bay and my dad is the groomer operator there. If you stay at any of the motels (Treeline or Norwood) you can stag right from the hotel. Treeline is probably the better hotel and its right next to the groomed trails. You can also easily ride your seld to both gas...
Happened to a buddy of mine this year as well. He just got the guys a Powerhouse Customs in Revy to weld the bung back on. They had to trim the heat shield a bit to do it but they only charged him $20!
Last year for a 2014 XMX 163 I was paying $394 for full coverage with a $250 deductable through AMA (which was by far the cheapest I found). I just got my renewal notice in the mail from AMA and this year it is $604 for the same coverage. So roughly a 50% increase from AMA. Most quotes I got...
You probably just need a new tether switch. They get water in them and then start corroding so the copper contacts won't work properly. Four Stroke Solutions sells just the tether switch or you can upgrade to a cat style plunger type which are supposed to be better.
Same here. Put about 900 km on mine without issues even before the can update was done. No bogs, no farts, no burbles unlike the MBRP one my buddy tried. It is loud though. You don't notice it as much on the sled with helmet on but when the skis are in the air it definitely barks pretty good...
I don't know about the Snowpulse but I get my BCA re-filled at The Dive Shop at 4652 Macleod Trail South. They only charge $10 too. I think Walt used to charge $20.
The other dive shops in Calgary I called didn't do the avy pack refills.
We encountered a moose on the trail up in Frisby last week. We stopped about 50 yards away from it hoping that it would move. After a few minutes when it became obvious it wasn't going to move we inched a little bit closer and the moose started trotting up the trail. We followed it a bit...
I snowchecked a black/black x 163 with pull start and 4 year warranty for 14800 otd (13899 for sled plus 199 doc fee plus gst) from Bow South. With that price I also got a $500 accessory credit to use for tarp, belt, and linq gas can.
I also checked Cochrane and Lethbridge and the price was...
