Bought a similar one about 4 years ago. used it one season and now its a decoration on the shop wall. very time consuming,if you dont get it set right it will either make a poof or every nieghbor within 2 miles will think that someone dropped a bomb. if the stubble is dry then sometimes a flash...
How long has the speedo not been working? that is the first sign that the driveshaft bearing is going out on it. sounds like you drove it long enough for the shaft to wear through the bearing holder and that is why it fell back.
check the pto wires. the red wire on the control box side should match up with the cat wire that has the red tracer on it.you might just have to switch the around on nthe black connector.
congrats on the win. hope you havent forgot about the time i delivered pistons to you in vermilion a few years a go(might need a spare ride someday):d:d:d:d
Sounds like the water pump shaft seized up and didnt circulate the coolant. Make sure they dont just put on a new top end and then try to run it. pull the belly pan and air box pop off the oil pump and see if the shaft rotates with the motor
The only problem with john deere equipment is never getting time off from breakdowns. My grand father always said that there is two types of farmers. Ones that have jd equipment and ones that wish they did.:d
any time I need more fertalizer on my crops I will invite cyle out to make a speech. all that shizzz should make something grow.(this coming from a farmer who grows 1800 acres by himself and also works off the farm as much as possible)
I put in a straight 38 with a shift assist and it ran great. However I know of 3 others that have broken the new cat primary spring(cant remember the rate) but i am going to switch it out before next trip.I thing you will like this sled better than your old m 1000
Price out arctic cat crank bearings (not the rod ones but the main crank ones) and you might be shocked at the price but they are way better quality then the chinese jobber ones.
