used to ALOT when i lived in BC, actually just sold my Demo8 last year. just never use it out here. cheaper in the long run to just rent the couple times a year i drive out to the mountains. on that note i am stoked to hit whistler this year, and panorama, maybe a couple others
finally just looked at the cat site. gotta give em credit for steppin up. even having ALWAYS been a doo guy, if i were to buy new now that would likely be top of my list now. nice lookin ride
hmm yeah thats kinda what i was figuring. Kinda at a point where i have to look at what the thing is costing me vs. how much i use the damn thing (which isnt much)
Not sure if this is the right forum for it, but regardless, im thinking of selling my 09 800X XP 154. bout 1100 KM on it and a can and belly pan and 2010 rear skid upgrade, tunnel can and bag. Whats stuff like that going for these days?
how did i never look at this thread till now? this is a good one. 15 HP Y-pipe hey, ch!t, better hook me up with one of those. i bet he has a honda civic with a muffler and cold air intake that added 35 horsepower too.
and i never say my sled will spank any other kind of sled. even the same...
PTO side leaned out, and when we first pulled the top end we noticed a large tear in the carb boot, which looked like someone had hit it off of the engine support bumper thing there during installation of the motor or something to that effect. ring slipped past the pin and the rest is history...
we went out for a quick rip last night, only part that was cold was loading and unloading, once we were riding it wasnt bad though im noting what feels like sunburn around where my goggles sit, though i know it aint a sunburn. lol
i did the 2010 rear skid upgrade on my 09 and it is a whole new sled now.... my XP used to be ignorant trying to get up and stay on its side, now it is worlds better... thought about trying something different before but now im sure ill keep the XP for a while...
Was up renshaw 2 days ago and lucille yesterday. Snow was generally good. In some spots you could get close to waist deep but still low for this time if year. Enough to have alot of fun in the trees and meadows though.
good to know. hard to find people that have been to both places in that short a period of time so its hard to know if the valemount area is really that different in conditions or not.
Ive been looking at the Valemount conditions thread and they are saying multiple feet of fresh... hope that trend continued north to mcbride! 4 of us are leaving sherwood park around 2-3 am tomorrow morning headed straight for Renshaw. Heres hoping it snows all day!
agreed. at 60 - 80 kph track speed there is no way the snow has any chance to get past the lugs and through the track. only time i can see non ported tracks having a viable benefit it when in the trees with little or no track spin, or when stopping and starting...
