Summit X and myself went over fording today. Was a great day had a blast. Not much change out there. Alberta side could use more snow.If you like your skis dont go there. Lots of rock riding.....But it is only Dec. 14. About 1 Foot more on the BC side then the last time they went over. No...
Thanks for driving out Ian. Pretty awesome that someone will drive out take time/fuel out of there day just to check conditions and share with everyone.
ITs a lot easier to talk with a cop if you have insurance and registration then if you dont.Thats what they wanna see. Paperwork. I have been stopped a few time ditch banging. Calgary Area. Checked my paper work. Have a great day. Not saying thats the Law. Just my experience with them. If they...
That totaly sucks.
You can call them ask how much to buy it back from them. See if its worth it.
Fix it yourself ,get re inspected to make the status active again insure and re register again.
That is Fording Pass. You were just riding on the Alberta not legal side. About 1/4 k west ride till you get stuck, lost or hit a rock.It can be tricky up there. Blowing snow has had people lost up there. And ones that have been going over for years. Its not much of a trail. Its just knowing where...
Where did you ride to or go?
Was thinking about a ride out there this week sometime. Fording. If someone was up for that. But sounds like they still dont have much snow.
The best way to check top end would be to pull of the Y pipe and look at the pistons. Should be able to tell if scored or broken. If its the top end your crank is probably fine. If the piston is missing a lot of parts then you probably would wana split the crank case and clean all the crap out...
I would say chestermere lake would be a good spot for a test ride. Drove buy today and there are tracks out there. Not sure how ice is yet..... Or # 1 heading east ditch bag. Looks to be about the same or a touch more then Cataract.
Just make sure your insurance and registration are up to...

I know i will sleep better tonight knowing i couldn't have gone for a road ride today. I had the sled started and ready to go on the truck for a rip. But there wasn't quite enough buy the looks of it. I was so ready to head out this morning.
on my buddies 99rmk 700 i used the water trick. You can use the clutch bolt as it threads threw the clutch first and then into crank. works great on the 99s anyway. let me know if you need more info or help.
I ride my 162 track in the mountains, ditch banging, field riding and on the lakes. So dont let the trail riding and lakes stop you from buying a bigger track sled.It just makes it that much more fun.Dont forget to put a set of scratchers on it. Good luck on your sled hunt. i would go with and...
I have thought about this as well.If it ever happened i would do my best to help out. But i do also like the fact its a little challenging, do to the creek crossings and rock riding. Most people wont ride there and beet on there sleds to get there . This is better for us LOL
