There's not a ton of room left, The rack actually helps bring a lot more of the weight of the sxs to the front axle than you would expect. But it is legal with a my diesel 3500 SRW. That being said my trailer is on the lighter side around 6000lbs with less tounge weight than other trailers. And...
I am a fan of the timbrens honestly. It took me 3 goes chatting with them and going back and forth to get the right size spacer and such, but now its perfect, rides nice, lots of bottoming resistance, and zero maintenance. I had airbags on my last truck and I was always worried about having them...
If it was me i'd give Wajax a call and ask to speak to one of the Alison advisors. Every time i've ever dealt with them they are a wealth of knowledge and are super happy to help. Bet they would be able to help you without even seeing it.
What idiots. I'd have gotten up nice and early and left.... with their tire valve stems in my pocket. Slashing a tire gets you arrested, stealing their valve stems means a hell of a long morning for them. Not many people carry 4 extra valve stems :)
I run their HID kit in my 15 GMC 2500, very happy with it, much brighter than before and seems to be one of the only kits that lasts. Amazon LED's in the fogs, with a diode to allow high beams and fogs has done me well nighttime driving for a few years now. Not 50" LED bar bright, but much...
Only thing i've ever noticed is that it does seem to dye the filter material in the fuel filer. Not sure if it would effect its performance. For the price of those filters (like 7 bucks from napa) I changed it once or twice a year anyways so I never really got it till the point of failure. Like...
A Turbo Doo makes 165 HP at elevation (lets say 6,000 ft for Revy) means that the Polaris is making roughly 135 HP, or 30HP less.
By using the logic above, that would mean the Polaris would need to drop 210 LBS to be equivalent to a boosted Doo..... 340 Lb Pro anyone? haha
#stirthepot:pop2:
Likely not. Weight on a sled is king, and turbos are just a much more efficient way to get power out of smaller displacement engines. If they could make these n/a engines make 200HP with no weight penalty they would have done it already. You reach a point where if you continue adding...
Just so you are aware, the number is closer to 3% per thousand feet so your "164 Horsepower" so even at the 6000ft mark you are actually at 135ish. So to actually get 165 horsepower you would need a machine that makes around 200HP at sea level... Which just isnt going to happen for reliable...
Its getting harder to find 99% iso at drugs stores. UFA has it for cheap though in the veterinary section. Even still I think its prob still $10 a Litre.
In chatting with Klim I was having issues with water repellency and they suggested just washing them every few weekends. The dryer is what really helps the whole process.
For boots its all about the socks, if you find a good merino wool sock with a high % of wool content it will make all the...
Look like a pretty good option, I wouldn't hesitate on a Toyo Tire. I'd say they would be better than you'd expect in the snow with a snowflake rating. Look like a bit of a AT2 meets the Toyo CT, which is a pretty good formula. Seem to come in the right sizes too.
Buddies just sold a 03 17' Hybrid trailer for 8k, 57 Kijiji replies in the first hour. Mind blowing.
On the quality end Its for this reason that I struggle to get rid of my 06 Vanguard, its built like a brick ****house, and handles nothing but crap roads like a champ.
In older trailers, the ones made by Peak Performance (Vanguard etc) were very well made in alberta
In newer/current trailers, ones made by Northwood. So Arctic Fox and Nash seem to be the best made.
2 Big issues with all of these bumpers, first is the mounting locations. Buddy has a similar one on his truck and even the weight of it can cause all sorts of flex. The one time we used his winch on it it caused all the panel gaps to be fawked, almost pushed into the front panels up. Second one...
Just so you are all aware, interstate makes all of Costco batteries. Bang for the dollar they are pretty hard to beat. For those people with proper charging controllers/solar setups heres the proper charging profile for them. Make sure you are charging them hard at 10-15% of their total AH.
Sure diesels hold value, but they sure cost you more. I'd expect any savings would be eaten up by maintenance costs, exp at 50,000kms a year. Hell oil changes alone cost too damn much.
