The plugs are indexed and need to be properly torqued on the etecs. I don't know the spec but I would find out. Like maxwell said it should have warranty.

I had a similar problem with. The guy I bought it off left it for the summer with fuel in it. The fuel was terribly rotten and I pumped out what I could and run it around. I took a while to run out the last bit of junk fuel leaft in it. I would run it around a bit and see if it clears up.

The etecs had around double the intake area than the r motors, so I assume they don't need an aftermarket intake. I see slp was putting powder valves on there etec that started to work when the stock intake got plugged. They have a demo video on there site showing the operation.
