2012 summit that won't fire

hey fellas i have a 2012 summit etec 800r thats was running fine when i loaded it then wouldnt start when i went to go riding. When you pull it over all it does is backfire and the display never even flashes. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what to check on it before i have to take it to the dealer and let them rape me with a shop bill.

Should have warranty no? I would check spark from both plugs first. Te plug themselves have been known to fail

The plugs are indexed and need to be properly torqued on the etecs. I don't know the spec but I would find out. Like maxwell said it should have warranty.

I had to get mine choppered out of allen because it just died and wouldn't start. It didn't do anything no spark whatsoever. It turned out to be a small metallic peice that got into the stator and was shorting out somthing in there. they cleaned it and it fired right up.
