    Why change the handlebars?

Not saying what I would is perfect. Just sharing experience. As someone with wrist injuries from sledding flex isn’t a bad thing but again don’t notice as much with 7/8’s pro tapers which is why I tried 1-1/8 CFR bars and still didn’t notice much difference. Not sure how that is hating on a...

    Why change the handlebars?

I have ran CFR bars on a few sleds. I wouldn’t say they “feel” any better but clearly I don’t ride hard because I don’t have a finger throttle either. Typically bars with a cross bar like the 7/8 protaper flex less due to the cross bar providing stiffness where 1-1/8 taper bars flex more...

    Why change the handlebars?

People changing out the bars to whatever brand/flavour of the week bars do so because it’s cheap and easy for them to do and it’s cool for the gram likes and follows. Most people don’t even consider the pullback/sweep and how it positions their hands or they cut them down because that’s cool...

any reviews on Chevrolet 6.6 Gas?

So the six speed vs the four would have contributed even more to your good mileage even with the 8.1 when compared to the other truck. My buddy had a Avalanche 2500HD with the 8.1. lol the looks people would give him when he would blow by towing a 30ft bumper pull.

any reviews on Chevrolet 6.6 Gas?

This is old but one other thing to consider aside from final gearing was the 8.1 had a five speed Ally and most likely the 6.0 a 4 speed 4L series. Did they put an Allison behind the new 6.6 gas?

Official Cataract Creek Snowmobile Area Thread for 2020/21

What would you say the staging area and main trail depth is? Gotta get a couple of memberships this year since I think we may make a handful of trail rides with the fam this year opposed to travelling as much.

    Travel Cover suggestions

Damn! And I just bought a new cover today for the 155 lol I have had the Polaris premium (full) cover and several of the canvas full covers. They last several years of average 50 days riding a season always on deck sometimes travelling all the way to Idaho. The only time I have had the...

    Axys 800 Reliability

Put the stock can back on and if it does it when you put the cab on next time you can attribute it possibly to the can.

    Axys 800 Reliability

I would just look at simple things like the plugs. Maybe if oil was added to the first tank there was too much. Really none is required.

    Axys 800 Reliability

Yeah my 18 was the same. Stopped running the snow flap just to get it warm! Lol But the 18+ sleds run really cool.

    Age vs Value

I was on the fence this year but have committed to keeping my 16 Ram 3500. Looked at trucks that offered things I would want in a new truck like larger fuel tanks and so on and decided that deleting the 16, putting a bigger tank on and basically driving it until it’s dead is better for me. Doing...

Sled Deck & Tonneau cover Swap

Sled Deck & Tonneau cover Swap I have used a Extang solid fold on my GM’s and Ram’s. Very simple to remove which I use to keep loads secure or take off for loading the bikes or hauling material and take off for winter for the deck. No side rails, no permanent fixture to mount. Easy on and...

    Axys 800 Reliability

Yeah that’s not warranty, that’s prepaid engine replacement lol. They tried to get me to buy the extended on Jess’s new sled, it’s bumper to bumper but not a chance. $1700 for one year up to $2300 for 3 years. Haha no. On her 16 summit we paid $500 for years 2-3. On my 18 pro I paid $350 for...

    What 155 track to get?

What does the 2.6 not do that you feel a different track might? I really liked the 2.6 155. I thought it was one of the best tracks in a stock set up. I didn’t feel I needed to gear down or overly clutch the sled and %95 it went where longer track sleds were going and I was having more fun...

    Mountain Riding In Alberta

Southern AB riding can be scenic but powder days are far and few between. Hitting a headlight deep day once a season either in Castle or the Crow is rewarding but it’s still better riding over and into B.C. More so it’s nice to get out for a half day family ride.

    Which powersaw to buy

If you are going to be dropping trees a helmet and face guard are not a horrible idea with some cut resistant chaps. Cheap safety gear really when it comes down to it.
