I’d think long and hard about the yeti. I ride with one. Not a fan. In all aspects of the kit.

My feel about snowbikes in general they become a liability if you have to climb out of an area and in deep snow they also have a limit. They are fun just not for the steep and deep.

I beg to differ. I ride with a buddy that has a Honda 450 with a boondocker turbo and Timber sled. He out pulls my sled on some hills. Last weekend he had to go up and down to make me a run to get speed up. There is so much potential in these bikes and they are only getting started. That being said. I will not give up my sled.

I believe that a 450 is on the lighter end of power for the snowbikes. And I believe that they should ride together. I’ve rode with three different guys on snow bikes so far. Not even close all day. Sled was the king the mountain. Hell of a lot of fun in the spring though.

2013 Arctic Cat M800 Sno Pro 162. Pulls pretty good normally but in deep snow with very little momentum. Hard to get going. A bike with a turbo is a different story.

Correctamundo on the 450 being one of the lighter ones, butt...Just like sleds, it's all the rider. You can give a novice guy a turbo and he will spend all day digging it out. I ride a 450 honda on tracks and with a good friend that's a pro racer and he can spank me and my buds on his 250 4banger all over the track. Lots to be said for guys that know how ride their machines to the max.

True enough. Last trip to vale there was a couple guys on 600’s unloading beside me. Thought to myself this is gonna be funny. Snowed about 18” over night so it was beauty at Chappell. I ended up running into them the back side of Chappell. They knew how to ride and they were out-riding 800’s. Fun to watch. I guess ya really don’t judge a book by its cover.

No really, I have no love for it at all. My '14 ran way more consistent and was more fun. G4's are turds for guys that ride them hard and if I'm shelling out a few hundred a month in belts that will affect how much I can ride. Looking at Mtn Cat or Axys for next machine. Just need to decide whether I keep the XM for another season or not. Can't mile it out or it'll never sell because the used market is in the toilet on all sleds cause the damn manufacturers produce too many to keep unit cost down but then blow out the holdovers and screw their customers trying to sell used machines. This sport is fawked, it's a damn good thing it's so much fun!

If you do go axys let me know! I have a special "momma loves ya" coupon to give you to save you some bucks on "stuff" ! Go Polaris!!!!!!!! seriously... You'll be so happy. The only down side, is those cult like fellows that keep trying to give me the blue doolaid to drink.. I'm good... (that was my gripe in order to fit in the context of this thread)

Ya I don't think so man. While it may not be a steep pull to get out of a sketchy bowl, don't kid yourself. Those bikes will go further and deeper than many give them credit for. The ability to navigate terrain that we snowmobilers only glance at is ridiculous. I call my husband the goat... "follow me honey".. ya... don't think so there mountain goat.. you just took the only snow on that cliff side turn I think I'll just do my own thing... NOT THERE.

Snowbikes are slow and boring, if I ever gave up on life I might ride one.

Lucky they sidehill so good otherwise they would never make it up any hill with more than 3" of snow on it. This helps so you can do the only thing fun on a snow bike...... downhill.

Seriously they are 5HP less from needing a chairlift.

So now that people have a little more time on the G4s........are they a game changer?

I do believe some sled's were game changers, some ripped up the mountain...non game changer, while other's allowed you to get more acquainted and personal with their favorite dealer..game changer. Or is that the norm for some?
