Hi folks,
I am new to this site but not to Valemount,I operate the new Taxi service in town.
I need your help.Several simple questions???
What do the sledding community need here in Valemount?
What do you not have that you want access to? I have no idea,as i am new to sledding?
If you can share with me ,together we can make a difference this winter....Rick

Thank you all who take the time to improve the area this winter season of 2012/2013

Welcome to the forum Rick. Throw your number on your signature, and I guarantee you will get lots of calls.
Well, access, by means of sledding access?
There are many places that we, as sledders are not allowed to go. Some are for caribou habitat, some are for tenure skiing (heli and cat)
Also park boundaries, etc.
The snowmobile organizations follow, and work with the government so our restricted accesses stay open.

Oh, and we also need HO's!!! LOL

I would really love to be able to call a cab company up and have them come out with someone else who can drive me in my truck/trailer combo back to town so I don’t have to leave it at the hill. Because my job and license go pretty well hand in hand I would have no problem paying for this service.

Just a though.

Awwww...... memories.
Ric got lost ? You probably mean temporarily misplaced.
After leaving the hall, having a final cocktail with Maxwel and l his GF, outside , basically on street . (The last one tastes the best ) Our crew decided to walk home , with the absence of available cabs in Fernie at that time.
It was an uneventful walk back to the hotel on the far end of town, until snowplow man decided not to lift his blade while we were crossing the bridge.
He probably had a good laugh at that time of the morning, as his snow roost sobered us up in a hurry.
Can't get mad at the plow guys, cause you are glad they are around when required.......
Awwww...... memories.

I don't follow? Are you coming off the mountain so loaded you can't drive back to town?

There's this thing called self control. You should try it some time. Wait till you back to town too drink. I understand having one or two beer on the hill but if your gonna get bombed please don't come back.

I dont see anywhere in this post that says he is getting smashed on or at the hill. He is saying it is something he would like to see, which is exactly what the original post was asking for.

WOW.... harsh.... You guys have never wanted to just hang around the parking lot listening to tunes and drinking beer after loading up????

Some of the best times I've had sledding have been after the day is done sharing beers and tall tales of courage and acomplishment before heading back to town and calling it a day... Eventually I wanna be set up to just stay overnight in the staging areas.....

Maybe he did abstain all day on the mountain, drove back to town and stopped for dinner and swapping of tall tales with his crew and had a few beer (or many rye) before going home but doesn't want to drive impaired and doesn't want to leave the truck and trailer. What are you so pissy about?? Makes total sense to me...

Back on topic...I believe the thread is about what would make a Taxi service work in Valemount.

Drunks.... and I figure there is an unlimited supply. Many#'s, Plio & I had to walk to the BW from premier at MM4, it was cold and dark and we were scared, would have paid big $$ for a cab at that point.

If I remember correctly...I drove you back to the premier to get beer and then back the BW....:D:D

Not sure why you did not get a ride in the short bus that they had parked in the parking lot beside your guys room.....:rolleyes:
