I was 36(6 years ago) had a 97 670 with a 156'' Clemina, trail was a highway we were first up 2 feet of fresh without a track. Spent the whole day digging and been hooked ever since! Still have that sled brought the kids up last year so my 13 year old daughters first mountain ride was on the same sled. 15 year old daughter talked me out of my xp and stuck me on my 96 740 summit, still trying to figure out how/why I agreed to that?

I would of been about 8 or 9 on the old skidoo 380 touring sled. But I've been going for couple years before that just not on my own sled.

7 years ago on a heavy yammy. Hooked up with some locals from Revy. They took me to Area 51. Nearly chit my pants that day and came real close to meeting my maker via an avy. The group I was with that weekend were way out of my league as far as ability to drink and ride the steep. To top the day off we didn't get off of Paint Lake till dark and rode out of area 51 with our Lead Dogs... Back to the trailers at midnight. The next week I enrolled myself in my first avy course, bought a doo and been hooked ever since.

My first run in the mountains believe it or not was last year!!! Dec 20 My Father, my 2 brothers and I went to McBride, B.C.... Went up with a threesome of REVs and rented a cat..... Our whole group was inexperienced at the whole mountain experience, needless to say... The cat got stuck, my old man went to help out, My brother and I played on top of belle for a bit, at least until I fell off and Blew my knee up..... Needless to say that was my last trip of the year cuz I ended up needing surgery and now to this day am still on recovery................. SEE YOU THIS WINTER BOYZ AND GIRLZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Definately be BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1982ish, riding a 1980 JD Sportfire in Golden. Rode up Blaeberry road. That thing was horrible in the powder!!. Met the old AC dealer and rode with him the next several years. I remember riding into Quartz mid 80's, the whoops were so big the sled in front of you would disappear, the reappear at the top. Old trail through trees was rutted so deep we would have to pull sleds through by hand. You had to save energy after you got in for the long haul out.

Few years ago, riding a powder special 700 with a 136. Spent all day getting stuck, got into a medow and had the whole snowpack consolidate underneath our feet. We promptly got out of there.

Shortly after that I sold the ol girl off and bought an XP.

Mine was back in 2000. I had a 98 summit 500 136". I watched all these guys with bigger sleds an knew I needed one too so I upgraded to a Summit X 670 for the next trip. The first time up the old switchbacks at Allen kinda got the heart pumpin a little but I think thats what fueled the addiction! I have had 5 different summits since then and have loved every minute of it!!!!! Now we just need some snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last year was my first time in the mountains with my 04 900 king cat I bought to make sure I'd like sledding, after a few days in the fields around home, watching the schooled videos a bunch, and some hands on training from my friends we headed for Hasler, base of the first pull I was really contimplating if we were retarded or if this was going to be fun, shot over the top and into the aluminum bowl, tried some sidehilling and boondocking and the rest is history. I got a chance to ride my buddies 08 M8 towards the end of the day and the 11M8 was ordered the next day, hooked bad building a camp for Kakwa this year and put 2000km on the two sleds combined

My first trip was to Silent in 1998 riding a borrowed 1997 MXZ 583 Short Track. Needless to say I was stuck a lot and didn't leave the waterfall in that great of shape for the guys coming up behind me! The MxZ was sure nice on the trail though.

My first ride was last December. I had just bought my rt1000. My buddy and I were coming back from the coast and stopped in to ride 10k on the coquihalla. There was a ton of snow but very poor visibility and my buddy even set off a very small avalanche. We called it a day but I've been hooked ever since.
