1960 Pontiac with a slant 6. Dad paid $300.00 for it. That was in 1971. Gas was 42 cents a gal. and it took a lot of my part time job money pumping gas to keep gas in it. Sheesh. Did I just date myself?

Opps. Ya now that you mention it. That car defiantly was not a chick magnet. It was tough being 16 and competing for chicks with that tank against the 69 and 70 mustangs, cuda's, challengers, camaro's, super B's, Darts, 442 old's......

However, I did manage to buy an American Motors "The Machine" 3 years later. Now that car turned heads. Wish I still had it. Probably worth a mint now.

My first ride was a '66 ford pickup with a 460, 4 speed, 9" rear end and 4:56 gears. My dad took it away from me after I roasted two sets of tires and blew the rear end and steady bearing out of it. OH TO BE 16 AGAIN.

1976 Ford Pinto 2 door wagon lime green.:thumbsup2: Paid $75 and still had enough money left over to buy beer. She was a check the gas and fill the oil, please kind of machine. Acouple years later it was in a horrific crash which totalled her off. Local paper boy delivering the news paper crashed into the rear quarter panel with his bicycle and insurance adjuster said it was time to let her go.:crying3: True story, I still sometimes wake up in the middle of the night sucking my thumb:shrug:

you know youve got a good car when

First car was a 72 black fast back Mustang with a 302, holly carb, headers the thing went like stink, only one little problem; at about warp 5 the thing would get a severe shimmy and if you wern't hanging on to the steering wheel with a death grip you would end up in the ditch as we found out screaming across northern Utah:hemiCoupe: That was a great car. Ah the good old days:)

I can`t believe someone else owned one of these boats. I was living in FT Mac at the time and I could haul around about 20 friends. 5 just in the trunk alone when we went to the drive in,lol.

1971 Plymouth fury police special. It was a town car so it only had a 318 in it.but it would offroad with the best of them.100 bucks and I drove the $h!p out of it for a year and a half. The tranny finally went, all I had left was reverse so I backed it all the way from Camrose to Kingman[about 15 miles]and sold it for 100 bucks That car would hold 8 with comfort and you could put 8 cases of beer behind the grill.Oh the memories.:alarm:

75 Nova Hatchback with a 350. The rear quarter panels were so rusted that the interior would fill with dust on gravel roads.
