I am posting this in Valemount because over the last three weeks we have had 6 riders with Valemount yearly passes come through and not pay because they said they were told the pass was good for Mcbride as well.
WELL THEY ARE NOT.
hoping that the 2 guys that did this just this week are not S&M members because of the verbal abuse that they gave our collector I will be downloading that day of recordings and hope to recognize the sleds or even maybe the guys.
verbal abuse of collectors will not be tolerated.
Thanks for your time.

We try and let everyone know that the passes are only good in Valemount because the question does come up frequently. Mostly when selling at the sled show. Obviously some bad information floating around

We have heard the same bs down our way from Revelstoke season pass holders refusing to pay.

so if they bought a ski pass for fernie and went to revy and swore at the lift operator do you think they would get on. cops would be called and they would be escorted off the property. the BC snowmobile organizations should ask the government to give the clubs power to phone the cops or take down plate no's and have them charged. a few 200.00 fines would open these a holes eyes

Would it be worth considering a multi area pass? Or a ticket pack with 10 or 20 day passes in it. Each of these tickets that are collected would allow that club or area to draw out of the account for funds. Just an idea, maybe a small pilot project. I know programs for each area are different, agreements for the riding area etc and costs, but it may help on a small scale or at least help bring a few new people to the different areas throughout the season..

I think that would be a really good idea. Not everyone can ride enough in a season to make a pass really worthwhile. Even the guys that do get out often may not buy a pass simply because they like to ride in more than one general area. I looked into buying a pass this year but chose not to because every club sells passes that only work for their areas but I enjoy riding at areas that are managed by different clubs.

I know it's a bit of a different situation, but in Alberta, the ASA sells trail passes that can be bought through any of the clubs here and then you can ride on any ASA club's trails. It sure would be sweet if there was something like this in BC and I think it would encourage a lot more guys to purchase season passes rather than just buying the single day tickets
