I have a 08 800 XP 154" track and my primary clutch is hitting my side panel. Does anyone else have this problem? I have never been in an accident and can see nothing bent or broken? Why would this hit? Any solutions would be appreciated.

When you remove the plastic guard on the belt guard, the side panel will flex into the primary when you lean 'er over in deep snow. Mine does too. Some guys glue a chunk of metal to the inside of the plastic panel.

they all do that. like mentioned above. mine actually wore through the rivets and now my panel is coming apart haha..

i think it might do it even with the plastic guard on dave...because mine is still on. then again my sled spends alot of time on its side.

Mine did it on my 08' and now its even worse the ultra tippy 11'. I've got a half moon carved right through. Gaurd or no gaurd, they all do it (at least for they guys that can carve).

Mine has removed the front rivet and wore 3/4 of a circle in the side panel. Thanks. Now I know I'm not alone. Is there no solution? Just let it grind until theres nothing left to grind.

Try gluing a piece of puck board where the primary touched. :)

Puck board, j bing some sort of plastic, etc are just band aids. They help but you need to do more. Make a L bracket from the toe hole and rivot or bolt to the side of the belly like in the pic. 4year of riding and no hole yet. Plus if you flop it on its side kill the motor. Amazing how many people keep it running, and the clutch is chewing into the panel.

That L bracket looks like a good idea. Mine rubs as I am riding and Laying it over in turns. Thanks for the info.
