Just an FYI, had my rear axel fall out this weekend while riding on the trail into the Alpine. Had one of the bolts fall out than the plastic retainers busted and next thing my axel was on the trail.
There were a couple more XM's in the group and when they checked their axel bolts they were all lose also. After returning home and talking to my dealer I found out there is a bulletin out on this problem and the fix is a different style washer and a higher torque on the bolt...they also recommend using lock tight. Just wanted to pass this info on to maybe save someone the same headache and a lost day of riding. Only takes a minute to check he torque before heading out...I know I will be checking going forward.

Yep there is a thread on this now for quite a few weeks. Quite a few guys have experienced this.

I don't like the double flat washer idea not sure what brp is thinking with doing that. And it being machined out behind the washer lets it flex just enough to come lose. I took both washers off and used lock tight and lock washers, 700km and no issues!

For some reason Doo decided to recess that outer aluminum piece so there will be a shank condition and no way for the bolt to achieve a "solid" torque. The 13 blocks are solid. I'm sure the 3g of weight savings looked great on paper, nothing 4g of loctite cant fix.

As the kits plus, the 13 xm have a different setup

I just got a call from Riverside. I had bought the t motion kit in Jan and they informed me of the update. I need to either take my vin number in to get the parts or just take the sled in and they will install the update for me. This is on my 2012 Freeride.

So, this only applies to the '14 XM's and not the '13 XM"s?

That is what service at martin's told me..

correct. campaign 2014-0003 only applies to 2014 Tmotion equipped Machines

although....i suppose if a guy was worried about it you could probly buy all the parts for 5$ and throw them on.
