You save on no truck box and your also probably feeding the weigh scale guys garlic shrimp to boot!

hahahaha……….but with an 8' box extended cab and 4x4 the GVW is higher at 9200 lbs.

The scale guys like to see me coming as I always have something for them (garlic shrimp, bacon wrapped scallops, BBQ lobster drenched in butter, etc.) and one has to pay the piper!

My crew cab tundra is good for 1100lbs and it an 04 so its not a big as the newer ones.

Good to know I'm not far off of a domestic half ton.

The new scalehouse is about 28-30 km West of Golden on the way to Revy, about 1 or 2 kms East of the Donald bridge. Highway divides and the scales are in the middle so they can catch you both ways. The only time you have to pull in there with a passenger vehicle is if they chase you down and drag you in there.

My F450 weighs 8700lbs. But I can put 5800lbs of payload in it.

Yes but we weren't talking about portable scales. We are talking about the ones on the side of the road.

I agree that commercial vehicles are required to stop but a lot don't (I'm not talking about the rigs and semi's). I have stopped at many of those and checked the weight and I am well within limits.

It is the guy with the 1/2 ton that the DOT will get at the portable scales.
