Worst hotel room ever?

Sheesh and I thought the nova in Edson was bad with guys almost falling out of the elevator because they were so stoned. Or the guys that insisted on having door slamming contests at 1am. I sure don't miss that. But that's tidily winks compared to these other stories LOL

Anybody seen the movie Vacancy? Kate Beckinsale in it, ends up @ bad motel. Anyways, to the story. I towed a boat home from south end of Missouri for a buddy. Got to Kansas City Missouri about 9pm, hard time finding a room. Finall found a place, I thought. Parked turck & boat. Walked up to door, its locked, wtf I said. Then read the door, "all masks must be removed before allowed in", "no weapons in lobby" I should have know to leave. Finally door opens, poor white girl, 8months prego is @ counter. I look around, what a dump. In the back ground there is lots of tv screens watching rooms, must have been 40 screens. If you seen "Vacancy" you will understand. Room was $45, plus $5 bucks to secure the tv remote. Got to the room, open door. Smelt like dead body, piss, etc. Its 100F outside, it felt hotter inside. No lights worked, tv wont turn on, ac unit likely hadnt worked in yrs. Thats it, back to office, wait for her open the door. Took alot bitching to get $50 bucks back, left in a hurry. From the road it looked okay & just drove 12hrs, I was ready for a rest. Found abit place near the ball park where the Royals play. Drove thru Kansas City Kansas, its even worse looking town. So much for the thought of wheatfields in Kansas City area, its a nasty town!

The Nova in Edson is a dream compared to the Aries. But the Aries is crawling distance from the Galloway Pub...! Lol

On a side note there is tons of snow around Edson! Braaapp

the bison motel in wainwright, every other motel in town is booked solid, u will be the only one at the bison , the place should be bulldozed. the canadian in grande prarie is another that comes to mind, wonder which month they change the sheets, or do they just move them to another room?

This is going back about 19 years ago .... i was working in 101 the only place to stay was these little atco trailers behind the general store well the room was just as cold as the out side the beds had the big sag in the middle and every spring was stinking out .. i slept in my own sleeping bag .. woke the next morning to a 1 foot snow drift in front of the bath room door cause the seal on the bottom of the out side door was gone

The nor alta in red earth is another good one ... walked into my room and it looked like someone cut their hand and swung it all over the place ... just blood splatters everywhere.... i slept in my truck that night

The igloo inn in Grand Prairie is a hole! I had to use the vise grips out of my welding truck to turn on the shower. The rig I was working on said that they caught the owner renting the place by the hour when they were working!

Completely agree!! Stayed at the bison while hunting on the base. More cigarette burns than carpet left. Blood all over bathroom(hoping it was from a previous hunter!!) shower was rusty top to bottom. No heat. Filthy bedding, and on and on
Worst place ever was the dorintosh hotel in sask! Rooms are above the bar and slightly larger than the single bed. Shared bathroom. Doors don't lock.

10 years or so ago we rolled into Carnduff SK and joked as to why they called it the "6 star motor inn"
Got in, took the pee-protectors off the mattress (just like the hotel in Consort) and unpacked. Tiny crap rooms with carpet from the 60's but the funniest thing was the party line telephone. I answered the phone in my supervisor's room, it was my girlfriend in Calgary, I handed him the phone, walked to my room, picked up the phone, yelled "I got it!" Down the hall, he hung up, and I proceeded to talk.

Little Buffalo camp was no fun, especially on gristle-steak night

I stayed at a small hotel in Shaunovan Sask for work. Minus the blood stained bed and cum stalactites hanging from the ceiling it was a pretty awful room.

flores island indonesia. while my wife was in the bathroom, a rat crawled in the hole used for the shower drain. oh yah, on our return to bali, i took my boot off to realize a 2 inch cockroach had crawed in before i put it on, and rode in my shoe the whole way back.

luckily never had to stay at that one in consort, from the road it don't look good. stayed at one in swan hills years ago, atco trailer set up, you had to stuff your coat under the door in the winter, or use your shovel to get out in the morning. bad,bad bad.

Golden Arms hotel in Golden many years ago. Put me in a filthy room above the bar. Got to listen to bar fights the whole night while I tried to sleep in the chair cause no way was I crawling into the bed. It burned down years ago...no loss!

Rainbow resort in Balfour BC. Floors dropped 2 inches when you walked on them. Ants crawling everywhere. They finally tore it down and built a really nice bar on the site.

both of the motels in coronation are at the top of my list

the hamburg hilton way out in chinchaga isnt the greatest place as its kind of dated, but food there was the best ever in a camp... been a few years since i was out there

stayed in a ramada where they activated the wrong key card for me... opened some guys room... he was in there hahaha. thats why i always lock the chain or the bolt
