I, like most of us probably do, spend 8-12 hours a day in work boots, and to be quite honest, it sucks, my feet are on fire ten minutes into the day. I've tried a few different styles of boots and socks, and yes I shower daily and change socks everyday. and that does not help whatsoever. Im sure I am not the only one with this problem. What has worked for you? Home remedies? Products available that have actually worked for you?

try after you shower rub your feet with hand sanitizor it has a anti bacterial in it, the bacterial in your skin is causing the smell problem.

To help with the smelly boots, I put bounce sheets in them over night. I just do it for a couple days when I notice the boots smelling but you could do it everyday.

Before you put your socks on put a light smear of tinactin on your feet.

Rotate your footwear too...Get more than 1 pair of boots/shoes, etc. Daily worn shoes never get a chance to thoroughly dry out.

Good quality leather for the boots is important also.

KEEN Footwear

Used to be a Red Wing guy but these new Keen boots are amazing. Way lighter and super comfortable. And less money. Holding up well so far, have about 9 months on this pair. A pair of Red wings would last me about 2 years.

Red Wing boots for the last 15 years 10 hrs a day. Dry them out every night on a boot dryer and don't be shy with the Gold Bond foot powder in the morning. Never a problem. Sled boots same thing. Wool socks are a must all year long.
Maximum Strength Foot Powder - Gold Bond Powders, Lotions and Creams

Our safety girl was helping one of the employees by putting traction studs in the soles of his boots for him, she flipped his boot over and a hole pile of foot powder dumped all over her clothes...thought she was going lose her biscuits
I always had to buy 2 pair of boots a year, just for that problem, as soon as they stopped absorbing, I would pitch them. Most times they were done anyways.

Try treating feet with Drisol, extra strength antiperspirant, available at the Drudstore. Stop the sweating moisture, stop the smell.
