Thought I would let all the owners of 08 doos know this.Went out for a Saturday ride with a friend, everything was going well...... for the 1st 4 miles. Check engine light came on, stopped, checked it all over, no issues found. Took off again ripping across a long open field & WTH can't get the RPM over 7600. Did a more thorough check, found a blown 15 amp fuse. Replaced it, all was good. 5 or so minutes later, check engine light on again. Yup, blew the fuse again. To make a long story shorter (and 1 more fuse blown), figured out it was when I hit the brakes the fuse blew. Pulled the taillight out & found there is no loom or anything to protect the wire & it had rubbed the red wire bare & it was grounding out on the tunnel. Fixed it properly with shrink wrap & loom....YEEHAW, 8300 rpm again, no more check engine. Thought you all would like to know this so you can fix it before you go out. obviously you didn't get your update done when they do the driveshaft they are supposed to put a little thing under the wires from the reg-rectifier and fix the taillight with drilling a hole and put in a ziptie so this can't happen again

It must have been done when the update was done, but instead of drilling the hole up as high as it could be, they drilled it just over half way & as a result the wire was still rubbing.
