Windfall Road Random Camping

Any of you guys got some tips for where too camp on the Windfall Road, going too head up there this weekend, been up the road sledding but going too give camping a go. Any tips would be welcome thx!

Haven;t been there for a while but you can see the spots along the road as you drive in. There are some nice treed spots on the right a just before the tee if you have a rig that will fit in there. There is a gravel pit area on the left just before that if you need lots of room and there is an open field area if you turn right at the tee.

Pretty sure there is a couple decent spots right after you cross the river on the left. Last time i was there was by boat, and i do recall needing some serious bug juice.

I was going through some historical pictures today looking for some squirrel pictures for SBR and low and behold, look what I found....................I think I may start a thread regarding some of the long time members on the site. it would be interesting and an honour to post pictures like below.

It’s about 25-30 kilometres past whitecourt on Hwy 43 . Heads west into da bush, there’s a big gas plant up that

Ha Ha. That was a while ago lol, That was a great summer, met all the original cast including Jamie , As they pulled me out of the ditch . The pic was at Lac la biche where there shop was set up .Thx Doug, I think you got a good idea there.

Met him when his shop in Edmonton burned up 6-7 yrs ago. I do insurance work. He’s a Nice fella.
mines Also a old photo that was lost in my phone.

Can’t camp in the gravel area after the train tresle do to the tree planters camp is in there.
I grew up in that area lots of places to camp

Well that explains all the porta potties, we were wondering why they were all there, Brian made good use of them lol!
